Wonderful service and very friendly staff I almost love coming here ;-) Staff is doing everything they can to make our visits successful. That's amazing and very different than at most of the other DMV offices we have been to before! Wait times are also usually very acceptable.

I've had decent experiences with them before. I need to renew my trip permit before the end of the year and am waiting in the parking lot while they're open, but their door is locked. I've been waiting on the phone for the past 20 minutes for "the next available representative" and there is no one inside. Doesn't make any sense... Update: Their hours changed from 9-5 to 9-3 due to a "staff shortage". Even the guy I talked to on the phone had no idea the hours had changed. The least they can do is post the change on their door.

I went in to register my car and to renew my driver’s license. Great customer service and very little wait. Such a departure from other DMV’s I have gone to in the past. Made what could have been a lengthy process very painless and easy. Thank you for all you do!

Go online to set up an appointment and then fill out the form online and go in on your appointment
I'd say it they sent you a message asking you to confirm it, or if there's an option online I'd confirm it jus in case
Go to the Astoria branch and they will give you the application to do that. They will not let you inside at this point without an appointment but you can still do everything else they just don't let you inside. You have to wear a mask and they will hand you the paperwork outside and they you can give it back when done and they go in and process. Hope this helps

It your current license is expired you will have to take the written and driving test over in Oregon
real ID starts oct 2021 and it costs $80 instead of $60 and you require more forms of ID
