I've enjoyed this park before, but the play area and picnic shelter are a fabulous addition since I was last here. looks like the neighborhood is enjoying this neighborhood space.

Our neighborhood park! It's great for kids of all ages. The skate park is a really fun aspect and the water fountain is fun for hot days. It's a good splash pad for little ones too. I wish they would have more information about the native name they chose, like how to pronounce it correctly and what tribes the language comes from. I appreciate that they want to honor our local natives but it seems a bit more info would really educate the public.

We really enjoy this park. It may be small, but it has a nice path for biking and scootering, a great spot for kids birthday parties and a fun skate bowl. The play structure is accessible, the water play in summer is fantastic and there is still plenty of grass for running.

How has it taken me 2 1/2 years of being a mama to find this magical playground! They have an amazing mix of natural / nature playground structures and traditional structures: baby swings and a swing forpeople with disabilities, climbing structures, slides, a seated spinnger and a spinner you hang from. There's a shady little grove in the center of the playground and lots of seat-heigh flat rocks all over so there is always somewhere to sit (which means you're winning if your a breastfeeding parent). They also have a nature-inspired splash pad, a skate park area and a big field. For restroom options, they have a porta potty and a permanent small metal restroom structure. This park is just off a main bikeway, which is great when cycling with littles.

You need to contact the parks department directly. They don't monitor this page.
From: https://www.portlandoregon.gov/parks/61985 "Kʰunamokwst Park... pronounced KAHN-ah-mockst " The page has a link to an audio clip... Listening to it I'd probably write kawn a monkST... Less Kahn (as in Star Trek) more like lawn... That said I really have no clue other than the page listed.
