If you're not fairly sure- footed you might think twice about this hike; my teenagers handled it no problem but I was thankful for my good hiking sandals. Read down for the very helpful detailed comment on how exactly to get there... you'll feel like you must have missed the trail about the time you're almost to it. A short hike down the road then a good bit over uneven trail into the woods will be rewarded with a nice secluded spot right at the base of the falls. We spent a good while there and had it all to ourselves. In August the stream of water was modest but it felt like our own little spot and we're glad we went. Pack your trash out, please!

Beautiful place to hike with the dogs. Lots of great trails. Not a lot of parking but close to Spokane.

I'm always looking for sanctuaries of nature to enjoy. This seems like a nice local place. I was disappointed about the trash, mosquitoes, and lack of trail markings. But I did enjoy that the main trail was kinda accessible friendly. I could take a stroller down with minimal issues. It was a beautiful time to go. Lots of flowers and flowering trees like elderberry in the area to enjoy. I'll go back again to get a better feel of the area and explore some more.

Short, beautiful hike, especially for its proximity to downtown. Not a ton of parking, but you can usually find a spot easily enough. There are a few different routes, depending if you want a shorter/steeper hike or longer/gradual one. Very pretty, in a deep little canyon. Very icy right now though (Jan 2022) so I’d avoid for awhile.

I would go with someone. It's really slick going down the trail.

It is supposed to be a sacred native American spot so treat it like it's yours for respect. 😎👍
