The first part of the hike is quite steep for little kids mainly because there is no guard rails so be very careful with your little ones. Once at the bottom it is an easy hike to the Witch’s Castle which the kids thought was so cool.

Went on a hike there with my friends while attending northwest renewable energy institute. We went once on 🍄 and it changed my life. I fell in love with the nature of the PNW and made a lot of friends along the way

Fun hike from the autobahn society to the stone house. Very interesting structure. Do be aware that undersheltered people may need to use this place to weather the elements, so there are sometimes the remains of fire in the structure and possibly saringes. Be aware, stay safe, and have fun interacting with your local ecology.

Amazing forest that you wouldn't normally find near a major city. Great walk to a cool historical spot.

I have discovered that Forest Park is over 5200 Acres. In comparison, to New York Central Park which is only one point three acres. Relatively speaking Forest Park is 6 times greater than New York Central Park
The Forest Park map, available at Powell's and elsewhere around town, shows the trails, but there were no maps at the park last i was there.
They announced it was open again although there's still some work being done.
