Amazing place to have a real good Old Fashioned! We loved the view and the food was great! Sprague took care of us wonderfully! Jeff the manager is great as well. Brie told us about sitting at the bar. And we loved it. Great view from our table! You'll love it. Give it a try when you are in Portland!

The food is good, but the drinks are the uncontested draw. Sure there's a phenomenal view, but the cocktails outshine all that. I heard so many customers pleading for window seats; some were polite about it, others were not so friendly. But the staff took it all in stride, and never let their professionalism falter. If you want to impress someone who's visiting from out of town, while keeping them safe from a grittier, more authentic Portland experience, this is the place to go.

This isn't cheap. If you want to watch people talk business with business like lingo this is the place. Pop in a reservation for a birthday or anniversary and dish out them money for a babysitter. Everything is great. Two people can rack up a 200$ easy, but of it's business it's a write off. You have to say "business" at least three times to make it a write off for the IRS.

The view is amazing!!! The service was also amazing, the food is what i call fancy American, it’s very good, you get what you pay for here! We had a group of 10 people and everyone had a pleasant time! I definitely choose this as an event or special occasion type of place, or if you want to create moments, not a place to hang out or just go, unless you go to the bar and just for drinks this those are expensive as well! While there I had the chicken and my hubby had the steak and both were on point!

Monday-Saturday 4:00-7:00 pm and 9:00 pm to close // Sunday Noon to close
There's parking underneath the tower and PCG will validate for two hours worth.
11am to 4pm
They focus on seafood, steaks, and wine. They also have salad that compliment their meals. I don't recall any vegetarian specific meals there.
No I don't think so...... Happy hour is in the bar only..... But have it all day on Sunday's in the bar...
It's downtown Portland, so as bad/good as anywhere else downtown, but not really a bad neighborhood.
People do dress fancy, but not all. It is upscale but no tuxedo needed lol. Pricy but good
It'll be fine as long as the kiddo is well behaved. Kids are there all time.
I would say that would be fine

I don't know. You can call them. Sorry.
Our large group wasn't asked for proof.
We went on a weekday at dinner time with a reservation and they told our party of 2 it would be an hour and a half on top of our reservation time. Not worth it imo for overpriced food just for the view.
Please check with the restaurant. Their staff are very helpful, and they'll let you know. It's a slightly more formal place, so you should ask them about the balloons.
There's a helipad on a building within view, but I have no idea if there is on on the the top of the building the Portland City Grill is in. No one was talking about arriving via helicopter, and that is generally something you'd hear without even eavesdropping.
If you go to the restaurant, yes, but if you go to the bar, no, and they will serve you anyway.
Right now during Covid same day is usually available. The do the little cake for any special events, but no packages that I am aware of.
No
No it does not. It's stationary. That being said, you may have to wait for a desired city view, but should also be able to pick where you'd like to sit. And... the food is pretty dang good too!
Verry tasty food though limited options with small portions with high city pricing. Great atmosphere with great city views
You can request one when you make a reservation through open table or by phone. Dining at slower times (Tuesdays, early in the evening etc) can help your chances as well.
Prime rib is the cooked version of ribeye steak. Sometimes ribeye is considered seasonal for the month of December too.
No dress code but make sure to have a pre booking to get the best view
no reservations in the bar, and they only filed for chapter 11, No, they are not closing.
The brunch started at $50 per person which is also what I would say is average per person for this restaurant as a starting point
Well for 3 of us and only one that was drinking about 200 with tip
12 to close for Sunday's
No
Business casual. Maybe a little bit dressier for New Year's
I wouldn't think so but maybe you should call them to find out.
I'd say why not show em what the good life looks like from up there.
They dont really have a dress code. I think they actually have one listed but don't enforce it. Its Portland so shorts, tshirts, Jersey, those ugly hiking sandals all good.
From select lots only. Tower lot yes. Hight limit is 6 feet in the tower parking structure.
Not usually, they do a dessert of your choice though
I made a reservation 3 months in advance and honestly, it still didn't matter since I wanted a city view table along the windows. My advice, just show up and hit the bar side tables for happy hour and city views.
I have never heard that ref before, baseball cut? I know they have great steaks and great happy hour... and its got an amazing view of the city. There is a bar area and the dining area... I have to look that term up :)
Can't go wrong
Honestly i wouldn't say they have a lot to choose from if ur a vegetarian. They have like 1 entree on the menu thats vegetarian. Unless of course u order anything on the menu without meat. But im not sure if they would charge u a full price for it.
Yes , $45 I believe . And, much better than salties when you consider the ambiance and view.
5-7 I think
From the website: HAPPY HOUR: Monday-Saturday: 4pm-7pm & 9pm-close Sunday: Noon - 11pm
4 to 7 m-sat, noon to 11 on Sunday. If you can't get happy in that long a stretch, we need to talk...
I went there on friday night and got a table right away. This place is big, so you will find a table almost anytime. If you are going there on a busy night and want a table with nice view of the downtown just call them before you head over there. you can park in the structure and the restaruant will validate your parking pass. Also don't forget to stop by the Voodoo donuts which is right accross the street from the tower.
