The people there are very nice and reasonable. From my perspective, planet fitness is more about how everyone feels about the environment than the equipments.

The Planet-Fitness on Marginal Way is extremely good. The place is kept clean religiously, all the strength training & conditioning equipment was recently refreshed & upgraded, the staff are polite, & the membership fees is extremely reasonable. My only gripe, if it can be called that, is that they're open for more hours on Fridays & weekends. Kudos PF !

I started going here at the end of December, after a season of lobstering I felt the strongest I felt in years and really wanted to keep that fitness going. The first couple weeks I spent a lot of time on the treadmill basically just doing fast walks. I can now run up to 4 miles and it’s so motivating to know I can do that! Also my physical strength has increased dramatically alongside my endurance. I’m mentioning all this because planet fitness has all the gear necessary, whether it’s weights or running machines or stair machines they have it all. I also like the 24 hours, I’d like to work out before work and recently I had to be in work at six in the morning so I was going to the gym at 2:30 in the morning! I would often be the only one there and it was pretty amazing. I enjoy the atmosphere of planet fitness, you work out alongside extremely fit people as well as elderly and all other kinds! My only critique is the lunk alarm, I’m definitely not a lunk so not offended by it however one time I was squatting when it went off (I doubt I’m the one that made it go off, I don’t lift very heavy weights and I’m very quiet when I do haha) and it was pretty jarring, making me jump and I possibly could’ve gotten hurt by that and I’m sure I’m not the only one that’s had that experience. Although maybe I am haha I completely understand what they are trying to do by making it more a place where everyone feels comfortable but it kind of seems weird to really make fun of or call out a group of person to make everyone feel better. But I still give it five stars because the staff is super awesome and I thoroughly enjoygoing there and will keep going there for a long time to come!

Start walking on the treadmill. Go for as long as you can. Then try jogging, like speed 4.5 for as long as you can. Keep going doing that for months, lose 40lbs like I did.
Yes. I have done so several times when visiting from New York.
I have had a problems getting responses and results from non onsite management management
Not in Portland . 7 to 9 m-f 7 to 7 weekends
Yes they do, my husband has his membership through the silver sneaker program. You can only get the $10 a month one with it, not the black card.
No... Lol
yes portland does, and boy is it a good mchine
No but they support silver sneakers says it right on the front door
They have Nautilus and free weights and personal trainers but no real classes.
They don't do day passes, but if you're interested in a membership, they will allow you to try the facilities in most of the locations.
You have to be 13 years old with your parents or guardian between 13 and fifteenth
