They're hit or miss and seem lost most of the time.

THE place for Vets. From the well-kept Vet cemetery and the Fisher House to the excellent medical care. Their are many Vet accessible amenities such as, a theater, gym, heated swimming pool, Barber shop, a Star Bucks, The Patriot Cafe where the food is way better than the hospital food elsewhere. The staff is professional, friendly, and any of the staff are extremely pleasant and helpful. This gorgeous campus goes above and beyond for the Vets, and family members. Im so glad Togus VA is caring for my Dad. VISN 1 is the Best network I have ever seen. The hallways feel more like a museum than a hospital. The environment is full of positive energy.

I've had reason to visit several VA Hospitals over the past 40 years, and will insist the care at Togus is head and shoulders above any other I've visited. The eye clinic here provides such a high level of care that I'd NEVER consider going elsewhere. I've also been more than satisfied with the care of the gastroenterology unit and the day surgery clinic. An added benefit is the norm is I'm seen at my scheduled appointment time or within a very few minutes of the time. I thoroughly enjoy having my healthcare delivered at Togus!!!

For your dental care, you have to be 100% service connected disabled or you have a service connected dental disability. If not, you may not use the VA Dental service. It's same as all VAMCs. Just because you have DD214 does not mean you can get a medical care at Togus. You will have to find out whether you are eligible and what you are eligible for. If your disability rating is over 50% then you can use Togus for everything EXCEPT DENTAL.
Yes. They do. You can call and schedule an appt.
Thank you so much. I was asking for an 88 year old friend who has only 1 lung and has a hard time walking very far. I'll try and find a number for the DAV. Thank you for answering my question.
I believe so. They have a flight deck ,and ed if they need immediate assistance
If you call them and listen to the recording, there is an option to see/hear upcoming appointments.
Like 8 to 4
Try asking the Veterans Service Center. Building 248 in the VA
Have you called the VA? They are in Audiology during the week. I know at least Wednesday. Call the information desk. They can direct you. They are very good at trying to accommodate the aids issues
Calamine lotion will probably help more then prednisone, you can get that over the counter. The only pharmacy that I know that has their own special mix (purposely for Brown Tail Moth) is the pharmacy in Bath. Their potion helped me calm down the burning/itching 8 to 10 times faster than the prednisone. (Almost immediately). Will be praying for relief for you. Ken H.
Probably a hotel in Augusta.
Not at this moment. Right now the staff members and eligible veterans and caregivers are getting the COVID shot. If the VA isn't your primary care hospital (it was your wife's but that doesn't mean it is yours), then you might want to contact your primary care doctor and ask about that.
Her name spells Tracye Davis. I know it's weird. But she's the chief medical director for Togus.
If it's your retirement physical you do it thorugh your branch of service clinic prior to retiring. Some of the bases (I'm strickly talking about the Army which was my branch) would do the physical with the VA and get the disability rating without you having to wait for the rating from the VA. But it should be your branch clinic before the VA.
You do not get an exemption for excise tax on any vehicle. No. You get the veterans property tax exemption but no the vehicle excise tax. But you can get the veterans card (not for medical purposes) at https://www.va.gov/records/get-veteran-id-cards/vic/ This does not get you a medical service at the VA clinic. In order to get the Va medical card, you will have to enroll into the VA medical service and see if you are eligible for any medical service.
Currently we have limitation for visitors to certain wards. Unless you are a caregiver for the veteran who has an appointment, you are not allowed to visit just for fun at this moment. If you have a veteran that is in one of two wards that allows visitors, please contact them to schedule.
I have been told that if you are coming in from Route 17 you will want to take the left hand Fork and follow it along until it meets with another road on the right. Shortly after that you should see building 207 on your right. Building 221 should be a small brick building past building 207 on the right. Each of these buildings have signs out front. Please be aware the people who work in building 221 will not be back to work until Monday. I hope this helps. Good luck!
8:00 AM 5:00PM
Between 7 and 8 am
The outpatient pharmacy is closed on the weekend.
We do have a dialysis center. It's in the building 200 3rd floor. I do not know the hours cause that's not where i worked.
Are you registering for your medical care? If so you might want to bring your DD214 and medical record if you have one. Then they will find out whether you are eligible for care at the VA. If you just want to get a VA card that shows that you are a veteran, you can do so by going online, submit your photo and scanned DD214, you don't have to come to the VA. For medical purposes you will have to see if you are eligible before you are allowed to enroll.
If it is in their dispensary, they would. If not, your doctor can submit pharmacy consult and see if you really need it or you can take something else that has a similar or same effect. It also could be genetic drug that they have instead of Valsartan. So you can ask, but it all depends on what the dispensary has. Same as Tricare.
Yes
Were open, call ahead just in case.

You should call to find out. This is a review site, and isn't monitored by anyone that works at Togus.
VA TOGUS are a provider. My inquiring here was meant for anyone whom might have a suggestion, or talking point idea(s)?
Maybe you would need to talk to your VA primary care provider
No you need pre approval for services. ER visits are different mudt notify VA within 24-72 hrs.
Yes
Your qurstion is best answered by someone at Veterans Atfairs. I suggest calling Togus and asking the operator for Veterans Affairs. They should be able to guide you from there.
Are you looking for Quarters 3? If so, it is across the pond from the main hospital.
See a health benefits advisor on the ground floor bld 200.
Go to Togus and go to Building 248 on the second floor they might be able to help you there and if not go to the hospital and explain the situation and they might be able to better help you
Call 7490 to get help with any questions.
Yes
Not sure. Probably 2025
