Went to this hospital on 7/20/2022. My wife was possibly experiencing a blood clot in her right leg. When we arrived there were so many people waiting to be seen and one women said she has been waiting for over 2 hours. This is unacceptable, and un professional. There was a old lady who was experiencing severe back pain. She couldn’t sit down anymore she asked the nurse for a pillow and he rudely yelled and said it doesn’t work like that, if I gave you a pillow I would have to accommodate everyone else that’s waiting. She was a very elderly old woman who was crying and clearly in pain. She said I will just lay on the floor then to be comfortable and she grabbed her purse and used it as a pillow and laid On the floor. My wife and I immediately left right after. There was no compassion whatsoever for this elderly women who is clearly suffering and to just stand there and see her and hear her in pain and deny her the right to a pillow making it so she had to lay on the cold dirty floor is appalling. Do not use this hospital you will spend your entire day waiting and being. Made to feel like you are at the deli counter and waiting for your number to be called.

From the time I entered the hospital for out patient surgery I couldn't ask for better service. Everyone I met went above and beyond, from the volunteers at the front to my physician (Dr Glidden), everyone was very busy and backed up. However, they all kept me informed at all stages, and a special thank you to Nurse Rhonda, for keeping me conforted.

My mother got sent home from the ER with a dangerous condition she had acute pancreatitis, but her biliary tract was blocked. She needed emergency surgery and they sent her home. We ended up bringing her back the next day and she was admitted. They performed emergency surgery but made her wait suffering in severe pain for two days and let me tell you the kind of pain it was. She was screaming and writhing. For two more days. They gave her three different pain meds but it wasn’t enough really. I gave 4 stars because although the doctors dropped the ball, the nurses were just incredible. They were kind, compassionate and had it not been for them, she would have been in pain for two MORE days while the surgeon got around to bothering to do it. The four stars are entirely for them and for my OBGYN care because they are exceptional and I am saying this as a transgender individual. They go above and beyond. They’re ER staff and doctors are just horrid. Basically they need to pay their nursing staff and fire their doctors and surgeons. Basically if you need outpatient care or hospitalization it’s a great place. If you need ER or surgery, just go to Portland if you can.

Monday brought my cousin to ER. She was in severe pain and short of breath. I was told I had to sit in the car. My cousin has amputated leg and stage 4 cancer. She was there five hours in between testing she would be out in the waiting room. She Tex me to say she had to go to the bathroom then it was ok for me to come in and take her! When she had a chest exray she had to stand in one leg and short of breath. I understand the shortest of staffing. I don’t like leaving this on a negative , so suggesting maybe take some of the techs , students nurses, not sure if volunteers can. This was our first experience at ER and it wasn’t a great one.

Yes it's called the emergency room
It is if you're a patient who has/had an appointment or if you're inpatient, but it's not public like a restaurant
You would have to call the hospital and find out from them
6pm
I believe so. I've seen many. Ask the charge nurse.
630am-5pm I believe
I work at the hospital, right in the Emergency Department. I can confirm that there is a Helicopter pad at the hospital for critical and very sick patient transfers.
There is a form available at each office. I received an online survey from dermatology. Or network up the chain of command. If it's a professional issue, there is a state medical board.
? You need the phone number? Try the main number.
That would be the CEO. I found it impossible to contact him using the website, but a physical letter to him would work
Call a cab company in Augusta to see if someone will do it.
Not that I'm aware of at the medical center or facilities.
Absolutely. I do myself. Check for the hours which start early in the morning to avoid a backup.
A person named Joe Corson? You can search by name on its website.
I'm sure that the information is on its website.
I haven't read of any, so suggest a phone call during business hours.
Yes, they can. If someone is in hospice, a dog does not need to be a service dog. Does need to have paperwork from the vets office (shots being up-to-date) and you have to register the dog with the hospital.
You contact the office during business hours. There are some practices which charge a fee, for hard copy copying, but were this done internally, within MaineGeneral, or to another system, there might not be any fees involved. Presumably you might also not need decades worth of annual results.
Call to confirm, or check their website.
Only the ER and Express Care has testing kits. You're better off going to Express Care. ER only has one doctor maybe two on duty at all times which causes a long waiting time
