I came in today for a simple gel manicure. My cuticles were cut so rough they’re left with little chunks, my nails were filed crooked, two of my fingers were bleeding and the gel polish was slapped on in a hurry so it completely flooded over my cuticle bed. The man that was doing them bumped my pinky into the towel at one point and instead of removing the polish and starting over, he painted over the fibers instead hoping I didn’t notice. I was trying to be nice about it and I was just going to let it go. But when I got to the car it was even worse than it was inside and one of them was already peeling off. I went back in and asked if someone could remove it so I could just paint them myself at home and Jana, the owner said she would. She was very passive aggressive about it and kept saying she didn’t know what I was talking about and that he did a “perfect job” and that it was my fault that the one was peeling. She offered to repaint them, making it sound like it was my fault and like I just didn’t like the color but I declined. It was an awful experience and in the end I asked for a refund. Instead of being refunded she charged me twice and when I pointed that out and said I wouldn’t sign the receipt she got irritated. I ended up having to be refunded $74 and now have wrecked nails and 2 hours of lost time.
