Went to drop off a flat screen. Arrived 15 minutes before they opened . Already a line of about 10 cars. Once they opened it went quickly, about 5 minutes and I was in. Drop off was easy. Great experience.
Dan VerWeire
So easy to recycle random stuff here. Great for when stuff has accumulated in your garage.
Gary Molinari
This place, although out of the way, accepts all types of items for recycling: paper, plastic, glass, corrugated, electronics, small appliances, light bulbs, batteries, Styrofoam packing materials (no Styrofoam egg cartons), old plastic and metal products. They also have bins for sensitive documents that get shreaded. You can drop off items for Goodwill industries here. There are fees for CRT tvs and dehumidifiers. Appointment needed to drop off hazardous household waste and prescription drugs. Only open two days per week: Wednesday 1-6 PM and Saturday 7 AM -1 PM. Two lanes of traffic to enter the large building. Left lane for regular drop off. Right lane for appointment drop off. Drive slowly. Follow directions. You unload and deposit your own items. Ask for directions if you are unsure where to go or what to do. They will not help unload heavy items. One worker is particularly unfriendly. All others are friendly and helpful. They also have leaf mulch available for free. Bring your own tools and containers for self serve access outside.
Andrew Petrosie
Efficiently run operation, line can be long sometimes due to very limited hours but it moves quickly. Would be nice if they were open an additional day a week instead of the current 2 half days.

You need to schedule an appointment to drop off chemicals or hazardous materials. See their website to schedule an appointment. https://www.monroecounty.gov/ecopark/
They accept electronics and such for free. TV sets with a tube screen cost $$$. I think it's $10.00 per set.
They take old tires (off the rim) for a $5-$10 charge. See https://www.monroecounty.gov/ecopark/ for details

Any printer has electronic circuit boards which contain both poisonous and valuable materials. Printers should be recycled.
Yes, a trunk full of shredded paper is ok. They may want it emptied out of the plastic bags. Check the website or talk with someone at ecopark.
They do. Call ahead to set up an appointment is what they ask
They have an area for electrical items such as televisions and sewing machines so I'm pretty sure they'll take vacuum cleaners. Their their website lists what they will and will not take they also have a visual map and tours.
1 pound and 20 pound tanks may be recycled for free.
They accept computers and re-chargable batteries. They charge for CRT t.v. ,but not for LED monitors. Single use batteries are not accepted. Return them to an electronics store.
Yes, they accept microwave ovens, but they ask you to remove the rotating inner glass plate and put it in your trash.
EcoPark has the facility to shred confidential documents. Locked bins with a document "slot" that is large enough to accommodate several inches of paper are located in the left center of the drive through.
While Styrofoam is accepted. White Styrofoam packing peanuts must be in a plastic bag. Styrofoam must be white, must be clean, must not have tape or stickers attached.

I think so (just my guess) It may be recycled as scrap metal. You should read their list of acceptable materials in their website carefully. I took electric air filters (totally metal only).
Their website indicates that they accept dishwashers free of charge.
Ecopark in Gates ny will take them. Any hazardous materials and liquids. You must make a appointment.
No they do not. Recycling only
Absolutely they do
Yes they do accept gasoline

No. Oil is one of the things they don't accept. Garages and car dealerships are required to accept it for recycling though!
There is an employee attendant but I don't know if they help. Hopefully another person dropping off items can help you
I would call to ask. I've not seen any biological substances listed, only hazardous chemicals. They're very good about returning your call.
I would imagine so. I was there recently with a florescent light fixture, and didn't think about the fact that it would be to be separated. They separated the light bulb and the metal and the electrical part.
Morning, Lemuel! Ecopark does accept microwaves. Just be sure to dispose of the inner glass plate. For more information here's the link related to your question: https://www.monroecounty.gov/ecopark/appliances.php?microwaves

There should be a number on the eggs themselves. As long as it is clean and the number is excepted you shoukd be able to. Check with the Monroe county website for exact details
Cant be absolutely sure, but those items are chemically treated , and might be considered a hazardous waste. .I feel your best bet would be to call a Waste contractor . You could get a roll off box and have them hall it to a proper place for disposal. Or they might be able to direct you , so that you can handle it yourself
No. That would be handled by hazzard waste facilities
Depending on where you live. You can dispose of your battery at places like imagine itin the east side of tu he coty or at Sunnking in brockport west side
Ecopark accepts large plastic toys that have had all metal, fabrics, and paper removed. They can be dropped off during operating hours. If the toy is workable in any reasonable and safe way, they suggest donating it to a charity.
Yes
most metals are excepted, if there is a problem, monroe country Recovery center can help
Cooking oil is accepted . Cooking grease is not accepted.
They don't say anything about toilets on their web site. I take this to mean that they don't accept them. Call 585-753-7600 to talk with them.
Never hurts to take them there. Chemicals and/or prescription drugs require reservation, but I brought drugs with no problem...
If in good condition, donate them to a charity. Otherwise, remove all fabric, metal, electronics, and battery materials. They accept the plastic part of plastic toys.
Have you checked with the Library to see if they can ise the rewinders or the tapes. Most likely the tewondets would go onto electronic recycling bin and the tapes would go to landfill. I am guessing that if the tapes have a recycle symbol imprinted on the casing you might have to strip out the tape before recycling but you would have to talk to someone at the center.
from my understanding you can find out what would be excepted at ECO by going to the Monroe County website. conditions for the cloth and type of plastic should be on there. u think that it would be excepted , but there has been conflicts in the past .
as far as I know, you can have arrangements made with a local garbage hauler to get it removed. If that doesn't work for you the local transfer station 1845 Emerson st Rochester NY 14606 you can bring it there ,and Ranny and his staff would be glad to assist you.

They take "bulky plastic items."
I see nothing in their literature that prohibits projection TVs. There is a fee ($15.00) for TVs and monitors that have "tubes" most likely crts.
