Gorgeous. Short hike. Decent balance and ability to tackle hills are needed for this location. Discover Pass needed for parking. $10 or $35/yr

Great Little getaway on the weekend even on a rainy day. If you live in the pnw, then it's just another day on the coast enjoying the weather that can surprise you at any time. Make sure you explore the Rock in the middle of the cove but always be careful because you do not want to be caught on high tide up there with small children or Little dogs. I am not seeing how about it gets during high tide but I would always recommend checking your tide charts to make sure you are not going to have a bad time. Lots of washed up wood that the kids love to play with, and I'm sure it can be a good spot to fish if you know what you're doing.

Grew up going here. Beautiful view! Not too many people usually! Trail is nice and shaded! Bring a discovery pass or purchase there.

There's a lot of garbage that is washed up into the cove which is a shame, but besides that it's a great spot! Very green and picturesque.

It has technically been off limits for years, but people ignored the no trespassing signs. Likely they put that up so people can't play stupid and say they didn't see the sign.
Jace Stensesen, it is actually called deadmans cove because that is where the bodies of dead sailors would wash up after their ships sunk right off shore
Dead man's Cove from my understanding has alway been closed to the public. It is part of the Coadt3 Guard Base that's there. I don't think this is a very enforced rule. There is a lot to do in the area. A lot to learn. Beautiful photography and scenery. Well worth the drive.
We just went down there the weekend of July 15. The signs were there but there were other civilians down there so we thought, why not? No one bothered us at all.
