I have been coming to this venue for well over 20 years as both a performer and a fan in the crowd. Last show was aThrash metal trio! Testament, Exodus, and Death Angel. It's fills up elbow to elbow, standing room only for popular acts. Last show they were only accepting cash at the bar. Not sure if it's always like that, but just a heads up to bring paper money just in case.

The Roseland Theater es probably the best venue to see a rock band in Portland. I saw The Killers and Candlebox a few years ago, it's perfect for rock shows, you can have a nice view from every single spot of the place. There is a convenient bar in the upper floor so you can have a drink in the balcony and avoid missing the show. It's not big, so the shows become kinda intimate. I love this place.

I really enjoyed this haunted venue. it was a perfect place to see DED, BLACK VEIL BRIDES & IN THIS MOMENT! I prefer small venues like this. They're far more intimate than a huge space. Plus, the rumor is that the Roseland is haunted, so for me, that adds a welcomed point of difference. π€ππ€

My brother and I went and saw Underoath's "Voyeurist" Tour with Spiritbox, Bad Omens, and Stray From the Path... The venue has AMAZING sound, great food (they have pizza and ice cream πππ among other things) and more than enough space to accommodate even the largest of crowds comfortably. There's plenty of security and staff in case anything should happen, the AC kept the place comfortable, and I really like that they have seating up on the balcony area for those that would rather sit during the show as opposed to stand for sometimes hours on end. I come from Atlanta, where we have some of the BEST music venues around... And I'm more than impressed with The Roseland Theater. I will be back and I'll be recommending it to my friends as well. πβοΈ

Yes. Lots of food trucks and restaurants. And voodoo doughnuts
They don't let you bring in any bottles or water backpacks, leave them at home! Free water is inside the venue with cups so if you get there early you can set your cup over the rail.
Yes. There's an elevator that will get you up to the second floor. There's also a bar on the main floor that has projector screens that are playing the show from upstairs. They have it set up though on the venue level so there's wheelchair access close to the stage on the sides. Probably the best seat in the house
Opens at 7pm, closes at 12:30am, I believe
If it's an all age show there is a bar on the ground floor, Peter's room, w/ large screen of the stage up stairs and 2 floors up in the balcony. In which case the balcony is generally reserved seating w/ limited first come standing area. Unless there is a show in Peter's room too, then it's just the balcony. On rare occasions they will split the main floor.
It depends on the show! Some are 100% general admission. Some have reserved balcony seats, and every once in a while we have a show with additional reserved seating on the floor. You can check an individual event listing at roselandpdx.com to see if a show is GA or has a RSVD balcony seating option!
depends! if they come out on time and stick to their plans or not. most concerts in general should end around 10:45 or 11 ish either earlier or later depending on each artist of course
GA is standing the whole time. You might be able to call the box office about balcony ticket availability.
If it's in the next 4 weeks, yes it has been. They just announced it on Facebook. All the details are there
We went to see sold out Ski Mask and parked right across the street in the pay to park.
Lots of seating upstairs.
Yup, there is an elevator in the back. You just need to tell a security guard and they will bring you up. Also, the wheelchair accessible bathroom is in the hall past the women's restroom (telling you this because it is hard to find).
There are a few paid parking lots within a block or so. But most people try to find street parking cuz it's free after 7pm. I opted for the paid parking lot last show I went to because it was easier.
No.
Most do but depends on where the hotel is
She shouldn't
I would show up around 6 and when I went you could get a drink. The inside has a lot of amazing posters and photos from years past.
https://www.koin.com/news/crime/shots-fired-outside-roseland-theater-in-portland/1603437019 Shots fired outside, no one hurt.
As far as I'm aware the bathrooms upstairs have a step down to enter, so you'd have to take the elevator back down to use the ground level bathroom.
yeah, typically it depends on the show. usually there isnt any seating for younger crowds on the floor, if that's helpful.
There's a parking lot across the street that is something like 7 bucks for the night, and parking on the street is free after 7.
They differ from concert to concert but usually about an hour beforehand
Bring both
Yes backpacks are allowed but they have to search it first.
Its usually freezing like a meat locker inside
Most shows are 1st come/1st served. Only if they have VIP Will It be diff times but still Entry Based On Place In Line
Check the show details. If allowed they are usually allowed on first floor as balcony is usually 21+ since they serve alcohol up there
21+ balcony is only seating area & is 1st come, 1st serve. So arrive at least 45mins before show. I had VIP access & arrived by 4:15 for a 7pm show (VIP show, was at 6) still was 20min from door at that time. I had a midget so no seating for us...equated to 4:15-10:30pm standing session & at least 1.5hrs in line time (X2- VIP FINISHE, EXIT RETURN TO LINE TO ENTER 30MINS B4 GEN POP TIXX) WAIT. Wear SUPER COMFY shoes! And even in 21+seating many front rowers stand/dance etc so if ya wana see the show, early wait line for sure!
Yes if you buy them online you should get anconfirmatiin and order number. Look it up with the order number.

There is parking all around the building and behind it. Some times parking is free after a certain time, otherwise there is an hourly charge depending on where you park.
As of their current FAQ, they no longer have a physical cash-payment box office - online and via etix phone only. http://roselandpdx.com/faq/
