The guy working there offered a lot of really good suggestions and really helped us find nice things, sadly he misunderstood exactly what we were looking for. He really know what to look for and if you are kinda lost on what to do it's a good quick stop

Super friendly staff, and a WIDE assortment of materials on what to do in the area! This is a great first-stop when you're arriving in the Seaside area for a vacation. Don't miss the "giant beach chair" photo op!

Questions & Answers

Other than the beach-what would be fun activities in the area for small children (age 3) ?

Not to overstate it, but Seaside is a paradise for young children! There's the Seaside Aquarium, where they can feed the harbor seals, touch starfish, sea anemones, sea urchins and more. There's the Carousel Mall, which features a fun central carousel in addition to shops and restaurants. There is a great toy store here. There's a huge arcade with many different kinds of games, from antique Fascination to cutting edge immersive experiences. Of course, Broadway is an easy and fun walk for youngsters and their parents. All along the route you'll pass salt water taffy shops, ice cream and gelato, as well as bumper cars, shooting galleries, and tons of other kids :) Have fun!

Where could I purchase organic food in the area? Is there organic restaurants?

Great question. From June 19 to September 25, there is a spectacular farmer's market in the parking lot at the Visitors Bureau (7 N Roosevelt) from 2 to 6 pm. Lots of organic food options there. Hamilton Market recently opened off Avenue U and will stock healthy and locally-sourced foods. Seaside Health Foods at 144 N Roosevelt is a small but highly relevant option, as well. You may find organic options at the following exceptional restaurants, too: Osprey Cafe (2281 Beach Dr), Firehouse Grill (841 Broadway), Dough Dough Bakery (8 N Holladay), and Maggie's on the Prom (581 S Prom). There is a Safeway in town, as well, and a Fred Meyer a short drive north for additional organic options.
