When we arrived we had to wait about 30 minutes for a parking spot. We then ate lunch at the restaurant/gift shop. Lunch was very good and we had a nice view of the falls. Then we hiked up to the first viewing spot which was beautiful. There is an upper bridge which seemed too hard for me to climb to (I'm 85). My wife walked up and came back and told me it was doable. I then successfully walked to the upper bridge and back - I recommend doing this. I highly recommend this as a stopping place. There is a lower parking lot accessible from the freeway which is bigger than the parking lot off the old highway. Also, you can use this parking lot without getting a permit.

Overall it’s a beautiful experience. The mist from the falls as you walk the trail, small shops to get treats and we love that it’s dog friendly . During summer time don’t forget to reserve time($2.00) per carload . It does get very crowded earlier in the day is always better . There are a few trails from the falls , you can walk to the top of the falls. Parents with small children , the trail is steep, there are no railings and there are a lot of spots if they fall it goes straight down .

Multnomah Falls is Oregon's tallest waterfall. Its accessible with few steps from parking yet you can hike pretty moderate 2,5 miles to the top of the fall. Its accessible all day long. There are limited parking spots n this is one of the most popular spot in the area so be early birds. Currently after 9am u need highway pass which u can get online for $2 Of u can take an other one mile easy trail from the top of the fall u would enjoy 3 more falls there

You now have to have reservations in advance; one to get onto the waterfalls road and another for Multnomah falls. They are 1 hour long and $2 each but well worth it since it cuts down the amount of traffic. It had been 3 years and it was so enjoyable, the beauty, the fresh air and not as many people, even though it was a Saturday. We got two tickets for Multnomah falls so we had the time to go into the restaurant and enjoy a delicious lunch, as you can see in the photos.

So far that I know yes open all year unless the weather condition is completely awful then is when is closed
We parked right by the visitor center. It was maybe 200 yards to the falls. There is another parking lot that is farther.
It's pretty exhausting climb but what encouraged my family was passing people with flip-flops who made it to the top too. My recommendation is to wear good shoes not flip-flops
Yes when we were there there was many dog there.
No it is closed right now
Anytime before 10 should suffice
No but there is a gift shop, restaurant and snack bar if you want to spend money. The waterfall and hike are awesome!
Yes, but the massive fire within the Columbia Gorge Canyon did significant damage to the area. Spring rains have contributed to additional trail erosion and damage. To my knowledge, the upper portion of the trail remains closed. Not too long ago, the lower section was closed also. I would definitely visit the website to see if the trail is still closed, and/or what closures might still be in place. If your goal is simply to hike, please check to see what exactly is open before heading to the Falls.
It's pretty much open now for the public. It has been 20 days since my last visit and it's all fine there.
