It took Several minutes for the waiter to get to our table but once there the pace of the food and service picked up considerably. ordered the Jake's Etouffe and was very happy With the amount of seasoning. Liked them leaving the rice in a clump so that I could put as much as I wanted. Would have enjoyed it more if the shrimp had been fried In a skillet rather than boiled. This gives a completely different texture to the shrimp and more flavor in the a them. The sole was well seasoned but a bit tough. The crab cakes were perfect!

Great food, great atmosphere, great service and great drinks. This is not a “fish and chips” place and that’s an excellent thing. The seafood menu here goes well beyond crawfish. I had a wonderful sole fish dish served with a caper sauce accompanied with mash potatoes and veggies. Delicious! My wife had the stuffed halibut, equally delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed people watching by the newly created street plaza (aka a street closed to car traffic) and a beautiful perfectly tempered day. Our waitress was very efficient and professional. Food arrived on a timely fashion right after our mussel appetizer. My wife had some wine while I thoroughly enjoyed the prosecco sangria. We had a great time. P.S. my wife eats gluten free and found something good to eat here.

A Portland classic. Sat at a table inthe bar and it wasn't too busy for a Friday night but others i saw coming in had a hard time getting a seat later in the dinner hour. Cocktails were amazing. The bartenders know what they are doing and can make pretty much anything you want, perfectly. Waitresses were friendly and very attentive. Always a good selection of oysters and other seafood but the menu is on the mid to higher price range. But you get a great atmosphere, great service, and a really nice but laid back environment. Location is very easy to get to but parking, as anywhere downtown can be difficult if you need to park really close.

Highly recommend. This place has been around for over a hundred years for a reason. We were seated in an alcove that sat 6. It is pricey. For six of us to eat, appetizers, drinks and dessert we were in well over $300. Favorites were french onion soup, fish and chips and the cod with crab and shrimp. Fish & chips is lightly breaded and very tender. Not a single dish we wouldn't recommend. Historic Portland seafood right in the heart of downtown.

Thanks. For some reason I thought they had a family style dish like in New Orleans.
Sturgeon i always see on the menu. If that was title plate? But i am sure that if you wanted it how you remember it, they would deliver. Never in 30 years have i been disappointed in the quality or price.
Garage on same block and side of building, on SW 12th. Or anywhere on the street.
How did you make a reservation.... just call and cancel.
Very safe feeling area. No noticeable protest graffiti.
They sure will.
I am not sure, I was there to listen to a doctor speak
It's right near Powell's Books, the closest MAX stop would be Pioneer Square then to walk the next couple blocks. Definitely worth the trip!
I was there 3 weeks ago had several visits over the course of a week n had delicious meals each time
3to6 daily 9to close fri sat 10 to close
Anyone understand this question? Because I highly doubt Jake's Famous Crawfish kept a receipt from a customer that dined there about 13 years ago. Just letting you know.
I'd susgest ringing the venue and asking.
Now,
Use the Stark street entrance. It's next to the host stand.
I've never seen it on the menu, but the menu changes every day.
According to the menu: Jake Freman established a legendary Portland tradition in 1892 at the corner of 12th Avenue and Stark.
They had deep chocolate brownies and custards and cheese cakes a large assortment of desserts.
I don't think they do, but just call them. It can't hurt.
Only in the restaurant do you need a reservation!!
No blues here.
Vegetarian dishes for sure, but not vegan. They do have nice salads though!
Oyster sampler
Gosh beats me, it all is wonderfully good of the items I have had.
I also have no clue as I have only been there once
Yes, my girlfriend works at Jake's Crawfish and the happy hour is 3-6 everyday!! Except holidays, the late night happy hour is 9-11 M-F and 10-12 Friday and Saturday.
Nope, they check everyone's ID and make sure only 21 and up can be there.
