Conveniently located near Imago theater, Noble Rot is the place to go for inventive and gorgeous dishes. I started by ordering a Sancerre which smelled incredible and reminded me and my mom of my native France. We then had the endive and blue cheese salad, which was just perfect. I followed that with the pork belly dish with house made kimchi, and I couldn't believe the explosion of flavors and textures. We finished the savory courses with a sweet potato and fava bean dish that was incredible. We were getting late so asked if we had time for dessert before the play at Imago. They made it a point to bring us crème brûlée and brownie quickly with the check. I can't wait to go again with my husband! The brownie photo isn't great because we dug into it and then remembered we had to photograph it 😂

This place is the perfect date or girls night spot. The ambiance is so cozy but upscale. I ordered the brussel sprouts and cauliflower dish it was was so delicious I almost ordered a second serving. The views are gorgeous. The cocktails were so good but they also had a large wine and beer selection. I will absolutely be coming back here again.

Noble Rot was the perfect choice for our small wedding dinner this summer. We had to downsize because of COVID, but Noble Rot made it feel so incredibly special, like a real reception. They were extremely generous with our time slot and did not make us feel rushed when things weren't going exactly on time, giving us all of the time we needed. They provided excellent service throughout the evening, really above and beyond, even bringing out cozy blankets when a few guests were chilly towards the end of the night. They provided great ventilation so we could have our masks off and feel safe while on the rooftop which was very meaningful to us. Drinks were never empty and they let us take bottles of champagne to go. The food and the beverages were all exquisite, from the hors d'oeuvres to dessert. We got to name and help design our featured cocktails for the night. Everything was designed for our tastes and was so amazing that I didn't really have to ask to change a thing when they asked for my input after presenting our initial menu. They also catered to provide options for our vegan guests, and went out of their way to let us take photos in the rooftop garden which are some of our favorite photos from the day. The views from the roof are stunning. Everything about the space is beautiful. I really can't say enough good things about the quality of the food, drinks, environment and above all people at this restaurant. We have to give our warmest thanks to Allison Smith, who coordinated our event and could not have done a better job. This place represents everything we love about Portland, and though we are currently living out of state, we are making it a goal to go back every year for our anniversary.

This place overlooks Portland in the distance. The ambience is really cool. The wait staff was very helpful. The menu is small but has variety. We had Mac and Cheese with Jalapeño, Brussel Sprouts, Steak and Brownie for Desert.

Excellent view of the city. Food was good (4 of 5 stars) and service was also good, but a little slow (many tables, few servers). Seemingly small, but nice wine selection (maybe another list?). Overall a good experience and I will return.

Has anyone taken middle school aged children? Do they have simple options like grilled cheese or a few kid staples?

Jeff Armstrong | Aug 17, 2018
Noble Rot | Aug 17, 2018

Hi Jeff, yes to middle aged children. We have burgers, mac and cheese and can do a kids pasta. Fries, onion rings. And my kids love the chicken and pork dish right now. But no phones allowed at the table! HA! ;) -Courtney (manager/owner)

do you serve gluten free food

Marty Gibson | Aug 17, 2018
amy miller | Aug 17, 2018

They have dishes that are inherently gluten free. Such as salads, appetizers, and entrees. that feature proteins with vegetable sides, etc. They also serve pasta and a burger but are NOT gluten free - unless the burger is ordered without a bun. I,personally, am gluten free and absolutely love this restaurant. The wait staff is very helpful with navigating the menu for delicious and gluten free options.

Can i get a private table

Chipper Causey | Aug 17, 2018
Jewel Li | Aug 17, 2018

The restaurant consists of one room (third floor) and limited outdoor balcony seating. If you're looking for literal privacy, I'm not sure this is the place. Its very romantic at night with views of city lights below but you can see everyone elses tables anywhere in the dining room. They give tours of the rooftop garden but only at certain times or when it isn't too busy. Call restaurant for details.
