Brought my boyfriend and his metal detector in hopes of finding and engagement ring buried on the beach. No luck there, but we did find two bottle caps, a screw, and a dime!

It's windy so dress for rain and watch out for falling trees. Stay out of the burned areas posted where trees may break off.

Gorgeous. In all my 30+ years of living here, I had never been to the island.. 😉 it is beautiful, tons of Wildlife, and produce. So many things to stop and snap a picture of. It is well worth spending the day sight seeing.

I was there Friday. Yes. Except the beach portion south of the parking lot has no entry taped off.
I was just there on monday and tuesday and there are signs saying leash only. I saw only one small dog walking without a leash but the rest were on leash.
