My stay was for three nights. It is my hotel of choice in the Forest City/Rutherfordton, NC area. Very clean, comfortable bed and cozy-up pillows. Very good Wi-Fi connection. The breakfast bar served hot and grab and go food. Good coffee. The staff was hospitable and friendly. Walking distance to Sonic fast food and Aldi food store.

My colleagues and I stayed here for almost a week in February 2022. Everything about our stay was great. Each person on staff was helpful and friendly. Michelle at the front desk was kind and funny -- we dealt with her most nights, but the rest of the front desk staff were great as well. The rooms were clean and the housekeeping staff was very nice. The breakfast was really delicious for a hotel. I ate too many biscuits and gravy but loved every bite. It was also nice to have Aldi and Sonic within a two-minute walk to grab food and necessities since we were there a week. Thanks for a wonderful stay. We will definitely be back!

Positive: The hotel was centrally located and the staff was friendly. Negative: I travel with Clorox Cleanups and when I wiped wiped a section of the bathroom floor, the wipe was very dirty. I used at least 20 wipes on the entire tile floor and they all came back filthy. I sanitized the rest of the room the best I could :-(

My wife, kids and I stayed one night here while on a road trip. I was able to book it as a rewards night so that was great. The front desk graciously granted our request to be upgraded to a suite to make the stay comfortable for our family size. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was clean. The breakfast choices were pretty good, but at most HIE hotels we've stayed at they have cinnamon rolls and sometimes biscuits and sausage gravy too. This hotel had neither that morning, but they had bacon and western omelets, so it was still a decent hot buffet. This hotel doesn't have a pool, which my kids were disappointed to hear. All in all, it was a very good stay for our family and we'd stay here again.
