Residents of NW Oregon and SW Washington are extremely fortunate that Columbia Memorial Hospital has partnered with OHSU to provide oncology services at the CMH/OHSU/Knight Cancer Collaborative in Astoria. I have been a patient there for almost two years, and the care is outstanding in every respect. I feel that I would not be alive were it not for the excellent treatment I have received there. And these remarks apply to everyone: doctors, nurses, pharmacists, technicians, administrative personnel, and auxiliary support staff. Everyone rates 5 stars, and I don't hand out compliments easily.

As soon as I entered the lobby, I had the feeling that this was a place of healing. Had visited a few other options for treatments but this place exceeds the calm, welcoming atmosphere. The doctors and staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

My mother came in, for a mammogram due to her MRI, at a separate hospital SHOWING not one but TWO masses, as well as enlarged (swollen) lymph nodes on both breasts. During her mammogram, she was treated with disrespect as well as not taken seriously. Upon traveling back home (two hours away), we saw a general surgeon. Who in fact not only saw the lumps in the MRI imaging (first hospital), and Mammogram imaging being done here. On her medical chart, it was written for her to follow up with an MRI in a YEAR, if she was still concerned. Thank GOD we didn’t wait! She was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer two days ago!
