I’m visiting from South Carolina I was not pleased. The best part of the meal is the bread they put on the table. The rest of the food was not good presentation was good. The crab cakes had no flavor the potatoes were over cooked and lemon aioli over salad just tasted like lemon juice over lettuce. None of my family enjoyed their food. I think this was the worst food I ate since I’ve been in Virginia.

I was so excited to get gluten-free food while visiting family. After speaking with the restaurant staff twice, I was assured that gluten-free was no problem and they could also make sure that my food was also dairy free. We just picked up the food and got it home, after a 20+ minute drive each way, and instead of the gluten-free side I ordered I got *bread.* And instead of no sauce (and specifically no dairy), which we asked for, I got some kind of cream sauce with no lid on it that spilled all over the rest of my food. Ridiculous! I would never go back here again ever.

Such a great lunch with my Godfather! NYAJ - regardless of which location I visit- always has the friendliest staff and an easy, straightforward menu that has something delicious for everyone! I appreciate Chef Bryan’s efforts to add a few vegan/ vegetarian options to the Menu that do not disappoint! The “Veggie Special” Wrap I ordered was downright delectable! Fries were crisped to perfection. Thank you Chef! :) My Godfather got the Burger- he mentioned the caramelized onions as the ideal rendering for a Not so Average (way better than Average!) Burger! The Steak special posted in this Review is from this outing- but it is a NYAJ special so scrumptious I had to add to this review! Go get this tonight if you want to be wowed without getting whip lash from an enormous bill at the end of the meal! Service was easygoing and accommodating, per usual. Best part of Joes bar? Drinks are executed with superior consistency. Which is a commodity in and of itself! Big thanks to the Staff for having mastered that! Will I be back? The staff knows they can’t get rid of me- no need to ask! Thank you to everyone at the Reston location - had a fantastic time!

First time visiting this particular Not Your Average Joe's and had a bad experience with the hamburger. My wife orders her burger medium well and it comes out half well done and other half medium rare. This was pointed out to the waiter and was returned to the kitchen. It came back out extra well done. So won't be ordering burgers at this location again.
