While the service was good, the food was not so good. It wasn’t all bad, the potato croquette and sauce were pretty good! The salads and miso soup were good, too. The veggies table tempura was oily, but good. Unfortunately, I’m stuck on the fried cod, which was hard and chewy. It was a main in our bento, so that was especially disappointing. Nothing was great, but something was bad. The environment and atmosphere could also use some improvement. Overall, it was alright but I don’t think I’ll return!

This place is located on the second floor above the Pink Gorilla Used Games shop. You have to go inside a building to find it! Taste: I’ve been to Fort St. George four times now, and each time I’ve had a different meal. Curry udon, katsu don, bento meal, and meat & garlic mayo spaghetti. The taste can best be described as “hearty and homey”. Everything I’ve had has been true comfort food, and each item is quite delicious. I always leave full and content! Price: They did recently raise their prices a few dollars, but with ingredients becoming more expensive, you can’t blame them. I’d say a basic meal will probably cost you $17-19 plus tax and tip now. Amount: Their food portions are pretty large, so the increase in price seemed fair. I always leave very full! Atmosphere: Okay, this is one of the reasons I absolutely LOVE this place! The restaurant is on the second floor of a little building. There’s nothing at all special about the location, but for some reason this place feels so homey and comfortable. It’s a very relaxing place, and great for a chill dinner. Menu Choices: Another way that this place really stands out - they have a ton of choices. Bento boxes with fish, donburi, curry, spaghetti, delicious melon soda floats! There are a lot of different choices on their menu! Service: Always great! Overall: If you want somewhere with lots of options, tasty Japanese food, and an incredibly relaxed atmosphere- this is the place!

The best katsu curry I've had, by far. Service was fast and drinks came out quickly. The waitress gave great suggestions too! Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Hidden upstairs of an inconspicuous, tiny plaza, St. George combines a bar, an izakaya, and a casual Japanese family restaurant, with all of their benefits. Reasonably priced shareables and customizable Japanese comfort food, along with a few more eccentric options make this a mainstay for a good after work happy hour. Definitely check their specials for bargains and limited availability dishes and don't be afraid to experiment with their drinks.

Yes. Katsu is optional
Im sure they could do separate checks but i would definitely get a reservation because the main dining area isn't huge. They do have another dining area that i have seen but never eaten in so that may be able to accommodate you.
