Authentic tamales, you can see them being made fresh when you order. I had the chorizo and the pork tamale, and i liked the pork tamale more. I think the chorizo tamale could use some more spices, but that being said they are very good. The cornmeal surrounding the filling is delicious. The tamales are also large, they are 1/2 pound so 2 was the most i could eat for lunch. If you are looking for tamales these definitely hit the spot

Best tamales I've ever had. They are pretty huge, and stuffed with amazing fillings and love. Got a whole spread of flavors to try and they were all so good I can't really choose a favorite, but the jalapeño cheese, spicy shredded pork and spinach are definitely up there. They also have some vegan options and sweet dessert ones (sweet ones sold frozen only, so you have to make them at home). Also have an amazing beans rice and tamale lunch combo? Great great greaaat spot :)

Had been wanting to try these for a while as they opened in my old neighborhood. The 5 star rating is incredibly well earned. I had a large order with 4 varieties and each tamale was spectacular. The mole and sweet potato in particular was amazing - the sweet potato had melted almost into a custard- but all of the other choices were spectacular and I would eat any in a heartbeat if offered again. Both salsas were great but the green was really outstanding with a great acidity to complement the tamales. The food is 5 star alone, but also want to mention the friendly and quick service - I showed up a bit ahead of my scheduled time and my order was ready within 5 minutes. I will probably need to buy a steamer just so I can haul these to Portland and enjoy more regularly.

Awesome Tamales! The nearly 100% 5 star reviews are justified! I grew up in AZ, CA eating amazing tamales and these are right. I was a little concerned about 5 dollars a pop for tamales but they are huge and filled with filling. Absolutely worth 5 bucks each. The cut up tamale in the picture is just 1 of them!

Well, everyone's spicy tolerance is different. I personally don't find chorizo spicy enough to make my nose run.
The frozen tamales are not cooked (the fillings are pre cooked, but the masa is raw), and their website has thorough instructions on how to cook/reheat. I recommend checking there.
