This was a fantastic experience from the time I checked in. The wonderful woman assisting me was without a doubt customer service driven she could not have done enough for me quick, easy, friendly!! Once I had taken possession of the car an email was sent by another representative, Paul, telling me if there was anything I needed, don't hesitate to contact him!! I did choose to do that, as there were circumstances that I felt Avis should be aware of. A reply was communicated within hours and I liked having that option of on the road contact should I need it.. Without a doubt Avis will be my go to 1st and foremost on my next rental requirement. I rented a van that had mechanical trouble on day 2 of my trip. I was about 95 miles from the rental site. I spent 24 hours with Avis trying to get a replacement vehicle. Rather than addressing the issue immediately, it took a full day receive a working vehicle. Avis reps would state that they would call/text back in a reasonable amount of time and usually did not thereby requiring another long series of holds and transfers to reach an agent. The entire debacle could have been efficiently avoided had Avis accepted responsibility and provided and operable vehicle upon confirmation that the problem was not battery related.

The vehicle only had 2/8 fuel, but the paperwork showed 8/8. The agents at the airport assured me it would be resolved. Called customer service the day after I picked up the rental and explained the issue. They told me to return it with 2/8 fuel. I returned it with 2/8 fuel and ended up with an $80 fuel charge. Now customer service won't refund it. This was my first-time using Avis in a long time as I typically use National. Clearly a reason to not use them again.

Garbage. The car was dirty obviously not cleaned out from the last user. And I had to use my own money to keep filling up a slow leak in the front passenger tire. Being only in town a day and a half I was not going back and dealing with trying to get another car. Not to mention if you land a Seatac Airport, you have to take a shuttle over to the location. Never again!!! I would give zero stars if I could. Completely unacceptable. They should be paying me for driving that garbage. Following pictures are things left in the car…. Along with a sock on the passenger door compartment.

Free shuttle ride from SeaTac baggage claim outside carousel #15 at the end. There will be a sign and queuing ropes. Avis is on the 2nd floor so catch the elevator or make sure you are on the escalator that goes to the 2nd floor. Not all escalators do. Easy free shuttle ride back to SeaTac.

Theyre awful and they do not call back. When calling just keep trying to get a human to answer the phone and they'll either try their best or know how to answer your question.
Avis will definitely rent you a car seat as part of your rental. You can add it online when you a reservation it ask the agent when making arrangements.
The rate for a minivan is whatever it is -- no special charges. You may wish to purchase some or all of the additional insurance options, but they will not require you to do so and your regular Auto insurance probably covers rental cars (check with your insurance company). Avis also provides additional discounts to AAA or AARP members.
