My friend and I decided to check this place out on our way to Yakima. It was a beautiful day and the view was lovely behind the structure. There is also a Veterans memorial there which we stopped to pay our respects.

Definitely one of the coolest spots in this neck of the woods. A strange mix of history, reverence, nature, and opulence. Sam Hill was a wonderfully odd person, and this memorial is definitely one of his finer works. Come find it.

Loved it. Glad to see it's well kept with no graffiti. That's remarkable being this close to Portland and Seattle.

Defiantly a cool place to visit. Scale replica of a complete Stonehenge with a great diagram and explanation of why it was placed as a WWI Memorial and its use as a seasonal sun chart. On a clear day, look west along the river gorge for a fantastic view of Mt. Hood! Great hour long stretch of your legs or picnic along your planned route. Enjoy!
