I love this shelter!! Staff work so hard to make sure each and everyone meets their needs, they are very respectful and they truly care for you, felt it from the heart!!! Nice comfortable shelter for couples and single woman, the staff is nice and helpful. The really nice thing is if your a couple you get to stay together and sleep in the same bed. The Tri-Met lines 19 and 70 have convenient stops just seconds away and also have the Orange Max Line Stop just a couple minutes away

This place does help some people but the managment are not good people. They pick on the people who have any health issues and will find any excuse to kick them out or make it so difficult to live with all the harassment that they leave. The staff are not any better. Every worker who actually cares gets fired,transferred or straight quit unable to deal with all the issues. I am not just talking about my own experiences but those of many other people some friends, some people I never liked and even a few strangers. You mention this place to anyone who has stayed there and very little said will be good.... so if you are about to enter this house of horrors steel your self and make sure you and your partner are in a good place cause they love splitting couples up.

No couples and single women
They do help felons, though it can take a little longer! So long as you are patient and willing to put in the time and work, they'll generally back you up.
There are other shelter that allow children this however is not one of them
Children shouldn't even visit this place. It's is dangerous. People staying there, formerly in prison, all agreed this was worse.
Apparently you just hook up with someone and go into a couple shelter and go from there

Couples sleep togather the set up is two sets off bunkbed pushed togather and each complement either the top or bottom so you are sleeping with your significant other either on top of or beneath another couple...
There is no certain amount of time you can stay at this shelter as long as you obide by the guideliness you can stay as long as you see fit
Tpi honors individuals privacy so unless there is a court order .....but I can tell you that The Willamette is a shelter for couples and single women.
Not a single Male, The Willamette Shelter/TPI is a couple's and women's shelter. Just make sure that you go downtown to the TPI Day Center at 650 NW Irving by at least 11:00am to sign up for the bed list before you go to the Willamette Shelter. It is a first come first serve list
For what? Just you, couple, or family? For a shelter they just need one with an opening when you go to tpi. Show up a little before one. That's when you UK can check for openings. There will be a line. Oh and expect some interesting people ..... always something crazy going on there.... Housing kn the other hand has a lot of hoops to jump through and first step tends to be getting in to a shelter.... if some one that works for tpi or the system(shelter, social worker, ect.)gets a beef with you for any reason at all expect the hoops to be unjumpable......
They would send you Downtown Portland to TPI to get a referral if they have beds available
Yes they do. However, they have to be a dog, cat, or other small animal, cannot have reptiles. Also, pet must be brought in when you arrive originally, cannot bring or get a pet once already a resident.

Me and my ex stayed there for about a year. They are cool. But to many drugs and drinkers come in and cause trouble
