Well it was lovely. If you like raccoons it's a great park to camp at. Everything needs to be locked up in a car or something because the raccoons will get into it. But it was lovely and a cute park. Nice place to fish for salt water and fresh water or swimming or kayaking around. The shower's are coin operated if you want warm water. But you can take a cold shower all the time without coins that can be purchased at the front information place. Lovely colored book of fishing and waterways stuff.

This is a really nice park. You can walk the beach, picnic and bring your pups on a lease so they can enjoy the great outdoors too.

Absolutely beautiful views, lots of hiking trails, parking. Clean restrooms. Picnic tables. The hike around Penrose Point has the best view of Mt Rainier.

At the penrose point state park campground. It's a beautiful spot, not far from the cities. Quiet, peaceful, has a moorage dock for overnighting. This is a rustic campground with no hookups, bit has a dump station as you leave. Water and restroom/shower building are scattered throughout the campground. Partially open year round. There are trials to hike, and a beach to stroll on.

Unfortunately there are not any
The beach area is adjacent to the parking lot. There are 2 Mile trails to the point as well which are easy flat trails for the most part.
I'm sure you can. You can definitely get clams and oysters at low tide.
I know the ranger. And yes. They are allowed in the designated areas like pits and BBQs that the park has. The direct quote. "In designated campfire rings yes"
If no burn ban is in effect you're all good. Usually before July it's never an issue.
If there is space available, you should be able to. Go through the state parks website.
Not that I can recall.
I dont think they will be open anytime soon they are doing pipe work over the summer there is only a limited amount of campsite available.
Try posting your question under the Lakebay Marina. That way you will be asking visitors of the marina.
They have alot of camp sits closed .they are doing some pipe work over the summer they only have the one bathroom open.
Clam digging there is from march 1 to April 30
Last I recall about $35
Yes they do and it is 5 dollars.
The report about it being next to some highway or even a main road are completely wrong, it's in the woods miles from the highways also the skokomish camp is more like an hour away at least. I'm sure that other person is confusing some other camp ground. After all you can look at Google earth a d see for yourself
I have a discovery pass already. Thank you all for your answers.
The shore line
The park offers a group camp which accommodates 20 to 50 people in tents or RVs. Facilities include a shelter with three picnic tables, a fire ring with benches, water and a vault toilet. Typical campsites accommodate a vehicle or combination of up to 35 feet. A few sites can handle longer vehicles or combinations, but the campground roadways are narrow and winding. https://parks.state.wa.us/564/Penrose-Point
Yes, but season is only open in the early spring.
Go to the Purdy spit...but scout out where to park and go super early. Make a full day of it or you will never find space.
Yes, the park has great trails, easy to follow with great views
Yes, there's day use parking.
Keep them on a leash and clean up after them.
I believe 8am
I live near by and my daughter is a state parks employee and has worked there. The park is open year round. I frequently go on walks through the many scenic trails. They do not have any sites with sewer hookup. They do have a place at the entrance to dump. There is 1 sole camping spot that has electric hookup. Reserve it! Usually it's the spot the camp host uses. But off peak times are easy to get.
