Downsides -Room I stayed in BADLY needed updated -light switch turned off lights AND other electrical outlets so business laptop charging was dead the next day. -tub shower curtain was dirty -room soap felt more waxy and filler then soap. -tub creaked every time you took a step -beds didn't have mattress covers -bed linen was ultra thin and looked old -first morning they didn't have much more then beagles and cream cheese out (second day they had eggs and biscuits and gravy BUT ran out well I was eating due to not enough food being out. Upsides -staff was polite -area seems safe Ultimate assessment Don't recommend this hotel due to the Downsides seems whoever owns it doesn't want to invest in the business much and does the bare minimum to keep it up. That being said all interactions with staff were helpful and polite

I would not recommend to anybody. Booked a room here 3 months ago thru Hotels.com, which I have used for 10 years with no problems. On Monday 6/6 I received an email confirming my stay with a confirmation number and the words YOUR BOOKING IS GUARANTEED. Fast forward to Friday 6/10. We went to check in at the hotel after a concert at Blossom and to our surprise we were told there isn’t a reservation under my name. I showed the front desk clerk my email confirmation and he told me it didn’t matter, he was booked full. He tried to blame myself, then Hotels.com and said multiple times there was nothing he could do. Wingate left us stranded in Cleveland with no hotel room, no apology, no explanation. The next closest hotel with a room available was about 30 miles away and about triple the price. Instead, we drove back home to the Pittsburgh area.

The front desk clerks where very nice and I feel very sorry for the environment they have to work in other then them being nice my experience was extremely disappointing. The sheets where dirty as well as the mattress protector there where Urine stains on it. The toilet was dirty, the shower was dirty, there where water leeks in various places in and out of the rooms and there where bed bugs there also blood stains on some furniture from the bed bugs and stains on the carpet. Not to mention the cleaning staff where joking around about the poor cleaning on the floor I was staying on and there was mold and the pool wasn’t even open because it wasn’t being cleaned. The fixtures in the bathroom had rust. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone to stay in personally I had to take pictures because it was so bad

I am wondering why the hotel doesn't address all the negative comments about filthy rooms. The last time I stayed here, the fridge was moldy and the bathroom was gross. They did give us a new and clean room. I want to stay here again but it seems we will most likely have a dirty room again. I understand being short staffed, but then why are they using the dirty rooms? Why not use rooms that have been cleaned? This has been going on for a long time now. Why has it not been addressed by management?

There are several restaurants near the hotel. Wal-Mart is across the road from the hotel.
Is was about 15 minutes away from the hospital my aunt was in recently. It may not be the main part of the hospital
