Really enjoyed the place and everyone was really nice. The food was awesome. Beautiful place and well maintained. Our waiter for dinner, please excuse me I have forgotten his name and not sure in last name. I think it was Greenwald? He was awesome. Very personable and very helpful for only his third week working there. My wife and I will definitely return to the buxton inn. If there was a slit bad part I would say breakfast. Just feel they could have offered a lot more than fruit, granola bars and yogurt and maybe a few other things. Overall great place and looking forward to returning soon.

Way overpriced for the quality of the room. Don’t get me wrong it’s nice due to the fact it’s historic, but my family has been coming here every 4th of July for the last 15 YEARS. The rooms use to be $99.00 which is completely fair in my opinion. Now since new management has taken over, we felt extremely rushed to check out the next morning. Also, I request a late checkout every year so instead of 11:00am we check out at 12:00pm. Not this year. The woman at the front counter is very short in conversation and has extremely poor customer service/people skills. The rest of the staff including the man who is there throughout the night, is amazing. He was one of the best parts of the stay and if he reads this he knows why. Hope this helps others before they decide to pay $300 for a room that offers nothing but a bed to sleep in and fortunately for me I was able to spend time with my family, but we can pay $300 just about anywhere else and the amenities included would be off the charts. Thank you.

We have stayed here a few times now. Just love the place. Park our motor cycles outside on the side street. Sit on the patio drinking wine and watching the world go by. Short walk into wonderful Granville. Great base for us to ride the Windy 9 motorcycle routes. Loved the room. Nothing beats the personal touch missing in chain hotels.

The 4 stars was due to the age of the hotel, otherwise, everything was perfect. Rooms well appointed and staff was great too. Perfect if you are into the possible ghost sighting, or the quaint atmosphere. Was a unique stay, but just not my cup of tea.
