We just celebrated our third team building Christmas event with board & brush this month. The owner Chelsie is always so helpful and knowledgeable, the other ladies were great as well! We look forward to doing this each year and are so thankful this small business is still open!

I’ve been to this location numerous times and loved it but I will not be returning again. I went for a staff bonding event and we had 14 people go on an open night and all picked different crafts. The employees who were working that night were all new and unhelpful. The class was poorly run and customer service was absent. One of my friends choose a detailed advent calendar and when she started to take the decal off after painting the paint started peeling up. A young employee came to help and ripped it off which destroyed the entire board. She then proceeded to “help” by filling it back in with watery paint which bled and made the problem worse. My friend asked her to stop multiple times and she continued to do it. We asked other employees if they could refund, or redo her board and they replied with “nothing can be done, that happens sometimes”. Additionally, three other coworkers had pieces that had multiple boards placed together and all of their boards were multiples lengths and when they asked the employees to cut them the same they were visibly annoyed with them. My piece came with blocks, as it was a Christmas countdown and they didn’t have the blocks done. I had to ask three different people before they made them. I was extremely disappointed with the new staff and will not be coming back to Board and Brush in Bonney Lake.

Drills, hammers, mallets, nails, sand paper, paint and oil based stains are used during a workshop, so precautions need to be taken. If you have a condition that will increase your likeliness of experiencing injuries or breathing issues, please ask us ahead of time if this is right for you. We also recommend you wear clothing that is not special to you. Stain, paint, saw dust and wax are always being passed around in a workshop environment, so choose wisely in your clothing selection!!
Most Board and Brush Creative Studios use environmentally friendly low VOC stains. Our designer paints are odor free water based products. We believe in providing industry proven materials that impact the earth as little as possible.

Yes! Our Board & Brush Creative Studio Shop Local online storefront allows you to purchase premade wood projects as well as Bb @HOME KIT designs. Find a studio near you here. Each studio will provide available pickup time options for retail items in their shop.
Due to the custom nature of our Studio workshops, registration fees are non-refundable. Registration cancellations made at least 72 hours in advance of a workshop will be granted a credit for a future workshop.
Absolutely! Your favorite beverage will go great with our DIY workshops! Our alcohol policies do vary a bit from studio to studio - with some being BYOB and others serving alcohol to you, so please check your local studio's policies before attending a workshop.
No! When you arrive we will show you examples of different stains and color palettes to help you decide what paints and stains will look the best in your home. We have a wide variety of stain choices, paint colors and painting techniques to satisfy everyone’s eye for design!
All of our workshops require pre-registration so that we can have adequate time to prep and customize your material. Project selection and customization information for your project is required at the time of booking. Please be sure to double-check your spelling and information to ensure your project stencil and materials will be ready for you at the start of the workshop.
No! One of the great things about our workshops is your ability to customize your project right down to the stain and paint colors.
With so many signs to choose from in our gallery, we are confident that you will be able to find a sign that is right for you and your home. We understand that occasionally there are additional needs or desires. Simple changes or substitutions of words within our standard designs can generally be made with no additional charges.

Yes! We love to host groups for Birthdays, Bachelorette parties, Bridal showers, Team building, Fundraising, Community events, After school playdates, Girl Scout/Boy Scout Troops, and more. We even offer virtual workshops for the ultimate night of DIY at home. Our Private wood sign workshops allow groups to select their own wood signs or décor, time and date for a party—making it fun and convenient for everyone involved!
No way! Our workshops provide guided instruction in a relaxed environment. Just bring your creativity and a willingness to learn and you will build a wooden décor piece from scratch that is worthy of your walls!
