Very cool historic mansion. Wish I had had more time to spend looking around. Will definitely be back 😎

This is an absolute stop for anyone interested in culture, history, architecture or fine craftsmanship! There is so much to see and read, the whole house is amazing. Take note of the doorknobs and door/window latches and hinges as much of it is intricate carved metal!

We really enjoyed the Flavel House in Astoria. There is a short film prior to going to the house itself and the film gave good context. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the house and the are.

The magical details of this home is incredible! We had so much time exploring and feeling the energy of this beautiful space. And the staff that work here are so nice and welcoming. Very great experience everyone should explore this if they are in Astoria 🙏💫

Does the house have wheelchair access?

Susie Barnes | Aug 17, 2018

The museum in the caretaker's house had a sidewalk access on the side.. The main house has stairs in the front to the door, with less stairs at the exit, but only to the first floor. Second floor has stairs. Bathroom is not ada. No wheelchair access unless person can walk just enough for a few stairs. Note:. If you are going to try, park behind the house, less hills as the area is not level.
