Awesome architecture, massive long bridge which connects Washington state and Oregon. Free to Private vehicle and was a beautiful drive with beautiful view.

A small histrionic bridge that crosses the Columbia River, that goes into the state of Washington from Oregon. Getting from 101 on the bottom to the bridge can be a little confusing by the way the on ramp was designed.

This was great to drive across. One of the longest bridges I have ever done. Certainly an experience.

You canβt miss it. Must have on the Portland - Seattle 101 route. Magnificent view and experience while driving cross the bridge. Mane one day I will return and bike π΄ cross it.

I don't know how long it took to build, but I've heard a few people died during construction.i do believe it's the longest suspension bridge in North America
No, the bridge is extremely safe under most weather conditions,of course all bridges will shut down if there is catastrophic weather coming, as far as ships and boats the coast guard keeps an eye out for ocean conditions and tides so to answer that question you should contact noaa or the coast guard if you want to enter the ocean or the river.
21,474 ft., 4.08 miles (I kinda cheated because the answer was in the stats of the bridge right above the questions link ;)
Yes, sorry ,but it's got to be done. I also have a trike(spider) stay safe and happy trails!!

On December 24, 1993, more than two years early, the bonds were paid off and the toll removed.
