Can't Have It Both Ways

Jan 28, 2022

I previously worked security in this building. The issue I personally experienced, didn't happen often, but when it did happen, it was very irritating. Security, is supposed to keep all entry and exits clear of transients. Pretty much we're not supposed to allow any bordering. What I didn't appreciate is on certain Multnomah county employees sympathize with the transient over what is supposed to be done. Security is following the rules of the building manager, not the Multnomah County employees. I can only speak for myself, but I did my job. I didn't like it when people would just walk up and see the middle of something, and disregard the beginning because they didn't see it and run to complain about something. Some point some of you guys are going to walk out of this building and we're going to experience something use the glasses transient, maybe you might have a better appreciation for what your security guards have to deal with.

You guys need to call the client to set up appointments and not sending a bot call to accept or decline the appointment. Calling the client you talk to the client and discuss the reason and or a better time and day. I also don't appreciate that you sent it when no one is in the office so I could discuss and or plan it at later time and day. And right on weekend day of Friday when everyone is out for the weekend. This is last minute and very inconsiderate way it was done. If this was done by my new case manager you'll have to learn how it is done ask my previous case manager. She was an awesome bueatyful considerate manager I ever had. She went out of her way to give me some things to keep me warm when I started off being homeless. Giving me things that she bought with her money to help me out wasnt in her job description but she did it out of her own loving heart. She gave me resources and tried her best to help me the best of what she was allowed to do since she is an employee and I'm a client. She is If it was planned from the doctors office you should now how to go upon setting up an appointment. I've been with the MCHD for at least 3 years. The phone call could have been about 2-5mins.

Google says they're open. Nobody answers. I guess nobody has health needs during Covid? Weird...

Since testing for Corona is limited, I’ve heard that people who are suspected to have the virus should self isolate, but what about people who reside with suspected virus victims? Should they self quarantine?

Marilyn Lyons | Aug 16, 2020
Jesse Gooden | Aug 16, 2020

Yes, if you are unsure, you should also self quarantine. IF you start to present symptoms, CALL your doctor and let them know BEFORE you go in. That way, appropriate steps can be taken to ensure the health and safety of others that use the same office
