Very small place but the food makes up for it. Bacon cheeseburger is really good. Waitresses are always friendly and service is fast.

Googled restaurants for dinner (did not want fast food) on our way to Birmingham and found this little local nugget! Great southern cooking and such a friendly staff. We ordered the hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, green beans, and fried okra. It was delicious! We were even blessed and had a local couple pay for our meal. They probably won’t see this but “thank you “ and may God bless you double! Stop at Friendly G’s. You won’t be disappointed.

Great food & service! Menu prices up a few pennies but the food quality is so superior that it more than makes up for this slight Inflation. Always have the Swiss burger & fries, loaded with gravy, onions and mushrooms and it's beyond delicious. Enough for quality leftovers. I order mine in a to-go box because I know it's going home with me!
