GREAT JOB!! Cameron came out on Wed and was very personable and helpful. Gave me all the information I needed and helped me make my choices. Scheduled install for Fri. 2 men came at 8am and did a great job at getting the job done. I had 2 rooms and a hallway carpeted. They were completely done and everything cleaned up in less than 3 hours. Everyone involved in doing this job and the people from the office all did follow-up contact to ensure I was happy with the jobs they did. I will certainly call them when I am ready to do the next rooms.

We had flooring replaced July 2020. Carpet and vinyl in our bathrooms. There are heads or nails poking through and flooring is not level. I emailed empire even though it’s past the one year warranty. You think they would would work with me after the floor fails a year and a half later. I asked for someone to come take a look. They didn’t send anyone. Instead gave me a quote to fix. Told me it was a site issue but they never came to the “site” to look. Avoid this company at all cost. No accountability.

We got laminate done in September and was told that the stair pieces were out of stock and they would contact us when they were in stock again. After the first appt was cancelled (due to still being out of stock) as never called once to get scheduled again, just received a call in the morning they were going to come. I would arrange for someone to be home only for it to get cancelled again. Happened at least 2 more times, could have been more to be honest. Called Empire and was told there was no date and they would just call us once they had the pieces in stock. Carpet was installed in October and the installer mistakenly took off the carpet leaving exposed tack strips (called and re came back to remove). After that, I will admit with the holidays I wasn’t as diligent as I should have been about calling. Two weeks ago I called the local office and was told I would get a call back, never did, called again and told the same thing, no call back again. Finally get a call and they were asking me if I had any projects I wanted done, I told them I wanted the first project completed, was transferred to a VM and left another message. Finally I called Tuesday again and was connected with Jody who was so sweet and helpful and finally got my stair pieces installed yesterday. I do have other projects to be done and the installers did a great job but doubt I would use Empire again. Just glad to finally having my floors completed.

Update on another project with Empire! I have radiant floor heating throughout this town home and salesperson Julie did a good job steering me away from types of flooring that SHOULDN'T be used. Engineered hardwood and anything else glued down will be buckled by radiant floor heat. My in-floor tubing is the "suspended" type, so no chance of puncture and we were good to go! Tired-looking 12 year old carpet was out and new hardwood installed on stair landing, in master bedroom and walk-in closet in just one 9-hour day. (These guys barely stopped to eat or drink!) I had disassembled the bed (installation crews don't do beds) and cleared out the room as best I could. The 2-person crew wisely did the walk-in closet FIRST, so they could then shove furniture pieces in there to clear the bedroom for work. We had some mild communication problems since my Spanish is confined to ordering a beer on a beach vacation, but we worked it out. The crew leader alerted me to some of the quarter-round molding not matching the closet built-ins (some installers would have just slapped it down) - and we avoided a huge problem by just going with the light oak molding everywhere. They cleaned up well, even sweeping up the sawdust from my balcony. I never expected I could get real hardwood for this price. VERY pleased with the job and I will be using Empire again for the rest of the bedrooms.
