Our family had an excellent weekend here! Our cabin was clean and and cozy and perfect for the four of us. The kids loved going off on their own to play mini golf, rent bikes and grab supplies at one of the few stores that were very well stocked with drinks, snacks, toys and fire making supplies. The employees were all so helpful and friendly. We appreciated the text reminders for camp activities (tie dye tees, soap making, dance parties!) and the fact that Fort Stevens is close by for Battery Russell and beach access. There's so much to do nearby and so much to do just at KOA. The pools were a huge plus; we spent a ton of time there. The bathrooms and showers were clean and easily accessible. We were notified ahead of our stay of the closure of one on the bathrooms, which is the closest to our site. We didn't find this to be a problem at all, as there are bathrooms a short walk away everywhere. We will be back and recommend this place highly!

I booked a few days during spring break at this campground because they have an indoor pool and the weather is not great this time of year. Just wanted something fun for the kids considering all the cancelations in the last two years. I Purposely avoided the last pool maintenance closure several weeks ago when I picked my dates. I called at the time of booking my reservation and confirmed that it would be open and again a few days ago. I stumbled upon a message on their website, today, saying the pool will be closed next week for maintenance. After talking to the front desk staff, I was informed that it was corporate that closed it with less then a week notice to drain and resurface the pool. (not sure why this would not have happened in the last two years with less people traveling or at the very least not during spring break) It is impossible to talk to management or anyone one that cares about their guests (minus the front desk staff who did the best they could with limited information). Also, this KOA has shut down their cafe...not sure why. This campground has great potential, but every time we have visited it seems like something is always shut down. The cabin we rented is quite expensive and their is no discount for the amenities being shut down. I am disappointed for my kiddos who were looking forward to it. Looks like it is time for a new spring break tradition.

We had an AMAZING time at KOA! They had wonderful activities planned all week long for the kiddos during Spring Break! It was so cool! And their landscaping was beautiful, daffodils everywhere! I can't wait to come back again soon!

This place has five star staff and one star guests, the kid noise begins at 6am and doesn't end until long after the sun has gone down, too many of the guests really don't take good care of the shared restroom spaces. I had to check every stall to find one clean enough to scrub down before using it this morning, which happened to be the disabled stall. When I was leaving, a staff member came in to clean, and because of the poop covered napkins I had seen in stall one, all I could say was "I would hate to work here." The cabin beds were uncomfortable, the area was beautiful, and it would probably be a great place to visit as a family. For my husband and my anniversary weekend, it was not a good choice. Long story short, 5 star staff and not much else for an older couple.

There's an indoor pool that's usually open year-round unless maintenance is being done
I think so as long as they're on a leash...
Very reasonable rates. We don't have an RV but we would.
Quite a few trees on their property. Best to call them directly when you make your reservation request a space With trees.
Thanks everyone. Ive called multiple times and nobody ever answers
Good place to stay, just make sure you are aware of separate daily charges.
You pay for your site, or cabin. Several prices depending on what you need. Then after 2 adults, it's $7.00 per adult. Kids under 12 are free.
Try the office or 1800#
Should have reserved weeks or months ago they are always busy and booked
Yes. Very comfortable.
Check in is 3pm. But we checked in at 1:40 and our site was ready. If it's not ready you will have to wait as they go thru and clean the sites.
Until you are broke.
You would have to check their website for specifics. https://koa.com/campgrounds/astoria/extended-stays/
There actually a little used nature trail but as of 2018 was in rather decrepit condition. Nice walk while camping, but much better hiking off property
The shower s and restrooms are in the same building but separate
Wasnt when we.were.there
They have bikes there you can use. This place is awesome!
