I have NEVER had a better experience with an auto shop before. The owner himself was incredibly reasonable and upfront about pricing, gave me an oil change without charge, and even had a great towing company to recommend, which I will use from now on after a great experience (Nisqually, in case you're looking). Mu catalytic converter had been stolen, and it would have been much more stressful without the kind and calm demeanor of everyone working at Mike's. The reason I chose to go to their shop was because a friend of mine whose family is in automotive repair exclusively uses them -- and now I understand why. If you're looking for an auto shop in Thurston County, I HIGHLY recommend going to Mike's Plum Street Automotive. I won't be going anywhere else after my amazing experience.

I have had my car serviced twice at this shop with excellent results from the service advisors to the cashier nothing but professional and excellent customer service honesty and trustworthy definitely recommend this shop and prices that reflect it as well.

My sole experience with Mike’s Plumb St. Automotive was not good: Brought my 2002 Dodge Ram into his shop for a parking brake problem, estimated at $300, and wound up paying $1,789.90 for an entire rear brake job, even though the brakes they replaced only had 36,287 miles on them. When I complained, Mike tells me that his wife is in the hospital (Sad, but relevance?) and that there’s more to life than just money (OK, true, but again, relevance?). Finally refunds $400 (should have contested the entire amount) and I’m stuck paying for a grossly overpriced brake job that I probably didn’t even need. Did I get all that right, Mike? Thanks for lesson.

When you don't know which auto repair place you can trust, needing one is stressful. These folks were busy. A week out, they told me. My truck was dead, and I needed help. Tow it in, they told me. We'll fit it in. $140 to diagnose, then whatever it cost to fix the problem. That seemed fair. An hour after I towed it in, they called and said it was fixed. $71.20 total charge. They said it was a pretty simple problem they found, so forget the other charge. Wow.
