Bus driver told me ticket was around $10 to $14 (got on and gave her my passport to pay at station), when the cashier told me it was ACTUALLY around $20, and I had to pay $17.25. ALSO, the cruddy rent-a-cops picked on me and harassed me. One of them ONLY asked me if I had a ticket before he asked anyone else. I asked this man, aren't you going to ask other people if they also have tickets? He replied "Yes." I told him I don't appreciate being harassed. He said "No. No? No.". That's the guy in the picture. What a low-life place. I would try and have a different station as your stop, not Bakersfield. It's only 80% awful.

By far the most uneducated group people I've ever come across in my life they didn't even know the own area they could not tell me the section names where the buses would come in not only that did they mislead me on where I could find a particular bus which made me walk around for about an hour and a half looking for something that was not there

Trains come on time, and even if you have to wait it's a beautiful place to be.

Tickets are simple to buy, I've always purchased mine online. Amtrak is great, they have wifi and outlets on the train. For the most part there are great people that travel that you can talk to while your going to your destination. The people attending the train who check your ticket are nice and explain exactly what you need and direct you to the bathrooms and where the food is at(Quite Pricey). The Terminal is clean and there is enough parking space for people who leave their cars while travel.

Yes it sure is. Of course dont leave any valueables or anything of any value in plain site. Try and pack your bags your bringing w you in your back seat so to avoid opening your trunk and having a pair of wondering eyes looking for something to pawn or sell for fast money. They got a 24 video surveillance team stationed day and night.i have. I left my truck there for 2 nights. Nothing was any different when i got back. Other than the cars that were parked when I left it goes off course we're all different so I believe it's pretty safe leave a vehicle there overnight without a worry because I know most people that are around know that it's being being watched and it's constantly under 24-hour surveillance and there's I think three or four full-time security guards who walk the premises
As far as I know, you can leave your vehicle for an extended amount of time(ie.10days). Amtrak has a small parking lot in front of the station that connects to the Bakersfield Library. Keep the vehicle in the Amtrak area & I would double check with Amtrak Staff inside to make sure there is some security personnel. The area is not the worst part of Bako, it's not to far(walking distance 5 minutes) from the main Headquarters of the PD, but check to make sure there's not been any car "break-ins" recently. Bako is a city with more than a quarter million people, so be cautious. But, genuinely it's an area that is safe typically.
No they don't and they advise you to not leave luggage or items unattended

It depends on how big it is. If it's too big it can be stowed in the baggage compartment. If it's like a backpack size then yes you can bring it onboard
Idk the price, but it shouldnt be too expensive...
On line, at the station ticket counter or at the station quick track machine.
