Went to the triangle pit with my son and found it easily and when they were closing the gate had a nice chat with the guy who shuts the hat been back since would say if your looking for a place to shoot outside this is the place for you, pack it in pack it out

First time here, and it was really fun. Everyone was super friendly and respectful. They all held excellent muzzle control and we’re offering some new shooters tips and tricks, although regardless they did drill muzzle control and trigger discipline into them. Also bring trash bags with you, you should pick up after yourself and some extra out of common courtesy. We have to keep it clean for us and others to enjoy it.

The issue I had with this place is that not everyone who comes has the best etiquette. We were fortunate in that even the newbies next to us had good muzzle discipline, and everyone was cool, one of the noobs shot our pistol target with their rifle and ruined it. Hey, it's OK. They were obviously new and we all make mistakes. Maybe they assumed it was a free for all. Maybe they thought it was their target. I don't know. Doesn't matter, honestly. Other than that, everyone was cool and it was a blast. A few pieces of advice. 1) just pay attention to safety, yours and others. 2) the ground is hard. Stands that stick into the ground don't work well. 3) bring a wagon to haul your stuff. It's not a super far haul, maybe 150yds to the furthest spot, but if you have a lot of stuff, making several trips isn't gonna be fun. 4) bring your own folding tables and chairs. There isn't anything other than the logs that act as the line. 5) stay safe and have fun!

The only place in the South Puget sound to shoot. 200+ yd/m area. Good shooters mostly mil or ex mil who know to call a range hot/cold to post or pull targets. The "Brass Band" will pick up your spent ammo casings and are courteous to give you space to shoot. Pro tip: haul your stuff in with a wagon and bring a pop up canopy, folding table and chairs for rainy weather.

Yes. Just makes sure you have your Washington state discovery pass displayed. Also, caution on bringing children. Depending on the crowd, it can be sketchy.
Not really, it's just a gravel pit that just can shoot your handguns and rifles at. There's no supervision or lanes. Just bring whatever you want as far as firepower and targets. I've shot pumpkins, Clay's, boxes etc.
No the range is currently closed due to the forest fires in California. I just wasted my gas going there when the site says it open.

No. Plainly stated in the rules. See the picture of the sign posted on site.
NOW open. But have & display YOUR Washington State Discovery Pass
Yes, I was just recently out there and they're still operating like usual. I would just double check the times.
Yes it is but they will need help getting there from the parking lot since it's has gravel and rocks from the parking lot to the area where they shoot and it's little steep

At most, maybe 75 yards for the level area of the pit.
No, the only thing you need is the $30 Discover Pass to use the shooting range.
