Clear Thinking
I have only had 2 bad experiences inside a mall (in my life) and both were inside this Hot Topic. My complaint in both is with communication. (1) Dressing Room: I was told an associate would "come get me" when the room became available. So I didn't wait "in line". When the room did open, 15 mins later, someone was waiting (not realizing I was ahead of her). The associate letting me in did not communicate this to the lady waiting and bc of this she became really upset. This made for a stressful interaction, which could have been handled much more calmly and efficiently with better communication. I had told the associate someone was with me (but) they said "only one of us could try on," and then i would have to wait another 15-20 mins again. This is another mis-step in my mind. The process I think could be different. Let me offer a couple ideas. You guys work without AC, in chaotic conditions, I know you are dealing with a lot already. It's not you it's the process. (1) Maybe Give a (courtesy time limit) when someone has 2 people, allow them to switch out if they can both try on within 8 mins time limit or something. (2) Post a sign, saying.... "To keep waiting times down please keep your time in here to 8 minutes" Or .. (3) When customers ask for a fitting room. .... Ask to (text customers) when the fitting room is open for them. The 1st question u ask at purchase is for a phone #... Why not use that here too? (A list with a name, time, #) is all u would need (4) You could even get a sign up list .. The store is too compact for a line at the fitting room. But maybe create a second fitting room .. With just an enclosed curtain... Hollister does that, it works too.

Really nice employees got everything I was looking for. The only problem I had was the skirts aisle was a mess. I was look for a medium and where it marked medium there was small and larges making it confusing to find the size I was looking for. Other then that amazing place! I recommend it completely 👍

Usually I always have a great experience in this hot topic but my last visit left me with a bad taste. I had gone in to ask about an online order and while waiting in line, my friend and I were talking about how stores do charity by asking if you want to round up your order. Well I brought up how a different store chain recently got caught the using the charity money to fund business ventures. The lady working the counter literally whipped her head around(while she was with a costumer) and told us in a tone how Hot Topic foundation is different and seemed very offended about our conversation. Then of course she was the one who helped me but she completely Dismissed me and said to call costumer service and called up the next costumer. I don’t know, maybe I was in the wrong for having that conversation, but the worker didn’t need to get offended, it wasn’t like I was talking specifically about Hot Topic.
