I always try to support small businesses. I got an estimate and had the work done two days later. The cashier overcharged for the items and the installation. I caught one overcharge for the items and reiterated the estimate charges at the time of sale and he changed the amount due. When I got home I realized I had also been overcharged for the labor. I went back to the store and spoke to the "manager" who refused to reimburse me. He said that I had gotten a great deal and the amount I was charged was their standard rate for labor. When I said it wasn't what was quoted, he refused to reimburse me. When I asked for the owner's name and number, he refused to give me the information. I will never go to the store again. Little business or not, they will not be in business at all if they continue these practices. Extremely disappointing!!!

I went and here to have my subwoofers that I had just taken out of one car, put into my new car. The guy kept trying to sell me other parts (which is understandable), but he was telling me that my amplifier was underpowered for my speakers and that it wouldn’t sound good. I had just taken them out of my Monte Carlo, and they were producing obnoxious bass. He charged me 200$ to run some wires, and it took 10 hours. Then when I listened to it, the bass was almost non existent. He said it was because I needed to buy a few new pieces of equipment, even when I told him how much bass I was making in my old car. There was no way the power was lost over the span of a week. He said he could tweak something. He twisted a knob in a device and it made a little bit of bass, and he told me that’s Just how it’d sound until I buy an upgraded amp and module. I looked up the amp he was trying to sell me, and he off the bat added a 100$ mark up to the price from BestBuy. A week later, I looked at my amplifier noticed that he had turned down all of the power and bass on my amp in order to try to convince me that my amp was flawed or worn down. I turned those knobs back up, and now I’m back to obnoxious bass. I’m a person that spends a lot of money on stereo equipment and gadgets, and I have a lot of Friends that trust my recommendations when it comes to things like this. I would not go back here, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. They potentially missed out on thousands of dollars in business by trying to scam me for an extra couple of hundred.

Had Jeff custom make me a box for my 2 JL Audio 10W6’s and the finished product exceeded my expectations. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fair prices. Highly recommend Sound Waves for anyone looking for car audio experts.

What is the cost to sound proof my 2014 Honda CRV?

Hello Thomas, this can vary significantly based on how far you want to go. First round we like to hit the doors and tail gate, next stage is floor, lastly the headliner. Most do stage one or two. Ultimately it comes down to how much material it will take. A "bulk pack is a great start and runs $600 including labor. Floors will run $400 and up depending on where we apply it. Best bet is to come by the shop and take a tech for a drive and let us know the areas of concern.

Just wondering why there is never music playing in store? Don't get me wrong. Everyone that works there is always professional. Just wondering.

2 things: 1: There may have been someone in shop tuning in sound and or on the phone. 2: Every time I've gone they had 1 of the radios going, maybe they weren't aware because they pay very close attention to what they are doing
