Took our rescue/foster that had been seen for 4 years by multiple other vets (at least one was a specialist) with the same skin/allergy issues without any results. We took her to Dr. Widener, who said that it was one of the worse cases he's seen. He took the time to investigate and research her history and the meds she was already on (that were not helping) and found that the meds could be one of the causes of her condition!!! He came up with a treatment plan and walked us through what we needed to do, leaving nothing to chance. 1 week later and Yuki is so much better and is acting like a dog instead of being miserable. The care the Dr. Widener showed, the fact that he looks into a subject, and his experience all combine to make his place the only one I will EVER recommend!!!

Our regular vet couldn't give us appointment before June and dog had an open sore so called Farmhouse Vet and was able to get in next day Doctor Mike checked out the issue, treated the problem and explained in depth the cause and treatment. Very impressed with the loving care he gave my boy. Doctor Mike will be our new vet. I thought the price for office visit and shot were in line with other vets. There is ample parking and large waiting room. Highly recommend using g Farmhouse Vet clinic 👌

Very caring doctor and assistant. Knowledgeable and deeply compassionate in all they do. My rescues were so comfortable during their appointment: it was a miracle!! Highly recommend this practice!

My cat had been to another vet who had told me that my baby would just be sick for the rest of his life. Within two visits to the farmhouse vet clinic my cat’s health issues were resolved. Six MONTHS of horrible diarrhea every single day was fixed so quickly, it felt like a miracle to be listened to and have my cats issues being treated seriously. These guys CARE, it’s not just about money with them. They want your babies to be happy and healthy, I took my second baby there and Dr. Widener could instantly tell he had a rough life in the woods before I’d adopted him. They really are wonderful, I will stay with them unless I end up moving. They’re worth every dollar!

No it is a house
Yes. Appointments are needed.
We were new back in March, I assume so. They do a limited amount of exotics. I don't recall which. Mine are dogs. Give them a call 🙂
I believe he does
If you consider a veterinarian who can do neural surgery to successfully repair a brain injury to a chicken, then you can find none better than Dr.Widener. He is a guru of avian species--a real fowl lover!
He is great at treating fowl, which is perhaps his specialty. Those in the know take their birds to him.
They do exotics, but I'm not totally sure. I've seen rats, birds, and pigs there. The Dr does surgeries. He is really knowledgeable and helpful so I hope that he does care for reptiles so you have a good vet. :)
It seems that avian care is what he is best at, which you won't find anywhere else in Thurston County, or even farther. As an independent veterinarian, he has no time or other constraints that one finds in most large clinics, that he can take his time with each animal, such that he is thorough in his diagnosis and treatments. I taken my elderly miniature pinscher to him, as he is the only vet I would trust to care for his medical needs, as I have a deep science background to recognize his knowledge and competence.
