Southbay Vetrinary Hospital is a great place to take your animals. We especially appreciate their expertise with the bulldog and flat faced breeds We were recommended to Southbay by our French Bulldog breeder years back and now all our English and Frenchies go there. Southbay provides a great experience and they are more like a family versus "just" seeing a vet.

My husband and I have been bringing our dogs to South Bay for several years and have received treatment from several of the vets here. They have always been good to us and exhibited genuine concern for our dogs. Last summer our Annie became sick very quickly. They were so helpful and were able to get her in quickly for tests and minor procedures before referring her to Summit in Tacoma. She was beyond what treatment could provide and we had to say goodbye to her, but the vets and techs at South Bay reached out to express their condolences. Our two senior males have chronic health issues (one cardiovascular and one kidney disease) and Doctors Herbert and Perez are fantastic partners in ensuring they receive quality care and regular exams and blood work to monitor these issues. For the people who are upset about long waits for appointments, please understand there is a National vet shortage and many vets and techs are working long, hard days to provide treatment to as many animals as they can. They’re working long hours and many times on their days off. Their jobs are physically and emotional challenging and they are not heartless. They carry grief with them for all the pets they cannot help and all the ones they see who are ill. Please be patient and kind, it goes a long way.

I took one dog in there once with no appointment and they gave me advice for care no problem, but it was an easy "That's fine but try to stop him scratching there. Took my puppy in no appointment that was attacked by a racoon and git him seen and cared for that day. I've taken my latest dog since he was a tiny puppy and trust them with his life while having reservations on my best friend watching him while I am gone for a week.

We've been coming here since we got our puppy, about a year and 3 months. I've never really had a bad experience with South Bay. The facility itself is really nice. I've only been inside once, as per covid regulations, but it was very clean. Their pharmacy always has the prescribed meds on hand. I also love that there's a grassy area to let my dog out while we wait to be seen. The practice is very busy, but you would hardly know by the level of customer service they provide. The vets are always super friendly, patient, informative, and are happy to answer any questions I have. They are usually pretty busy, but are really good about helping you get in as soon as possible, even offering drop off appointments. They really put my mind at ease when it comes to making sure that my little Sunny is taken care of.

Yes, we do. Prior to scheduling the surgery an exam with one of the veterinarians is needed and we can move forward with scheduling.
Hi Rory. We are exclusively a canine and feline practice and currently do not treat avians or small pocket pets at this time. Thank you for your question.
This facility is on the expensive side. That being said, they offer great care and surgery is done with a team of people so your pet is very closely monitored. So, expensive, but worth it if you can afford it.
