So far we've been here twice. While I'm not a fan of the wait in your car stuff because the mask mandate is lifted and so are restrictions, the staff have been friendly and our kitty doesn't hate going to the vet. Seems like we picked a good choice for his kitty doctor.

I took my cat to riverside for a standard checkup and some vaccines and within 5 minutes of them taking her inside the vet called me and said she has a stage 3 heart murmur, white gums and would need a couple hundred dollar testing and she might need to be referred to a cardiovascular specialist for surgery. The vet told me she wouldn’t do any vaccines on the cat and said that she was really worried about my cats health. I was 17 at the time and I couldn’t make the decision about testing without my mom so they sent my cat back out to me and handed her to me while I was visibly crying because they made it sound like my cat who has acted completely fine her whole life was dying and the vet tech just said “let us know if you make a decision”. My mom made a second opinion appointment at VCA and we decided to not bring up any of the things riverside mentioned until after the exam and when the vet called to tell us how she was doing he said she was perfectly healthy but just a little bit more on the feral side (she doesn’t like strangers). We brought up what riverside mentioned and he chuckled and said she doesn’t have a heart murmur and her gums look healthy.

Amazing staff! We needed to have our 14 year old Lab put to sleep, no other vet would help us get her in to stop her suffering. Riverside got us in that afternoon. Dr. Hart found she had a very bad heart issue our regular vet never mentioned. We will be switching vets. Very caring.

My fiancé and I just added a Chocolate Labrador puppy to our family. She was recommended to Riverside Animal Hospital by a client of hers. We are so glad they did. Even though we live 30-40 minutes away we decided to take a chance. We could not be happier. Everyone we worked with was great.
