Beer, beer and more beer. The Hop and Hound will provide a great rotating selection of draft and cans you can take out to enjoy. 21+, no food but can bring your own and still an oasis in downtown Bothell.

UPDATE - 2 wks later!!! I came back, this time with my vaccinated 8wk Shepweiler puppy, Leoni. FANTASTIC PLACE TO START SOCIALIZING YOUR NEW PUPPY! Your nervous, timid, possibly scared and NOT yet socialized puppy will feel at home before you finish your beer. Dog therapy and delicious beer while sitting outside. Upbeat and happy atmosphere, and I came without a dog. I'll definitely be back when I bring home my Shepweiler puppy next week!

Very very dog friendly, and it just so happens the people are amazingly friendly, as well! Amazing selection of not oft encountered options for imbibing that definitely seem to be curated with expertise and skill (including the server of beverages being knowledgeable and able to suggest fun and different options based on what you like or maybe what they are able to ascertain you might really like but are unfamiliar with). The Hop and the Hound really sets itself apart from the usual beverage (beer, in my experience) options offered nearby. With seating both outside in the sun on the West side of the entrance, as well as in a (heated, very comfortably, if needed) tented outdoor area on the South side of the bar; this lovely, thoughtful, unassuming, authentic, dog- & people- loving and authentic/impressive/genuine beer/ale/etc. being on offer and so enjoyably allowing one to expand their palate really creates an incredible vibe that’s well worth …I’ll say, in fact, visitS!!!! You can order food in! Check out the dog of the month (I believe? Unless it’s a weekly nomination) celebrated via prominent placement of these very good doggies’ picture posted right on the front door! Bring your dog, a friend’s dog, a non-canine friend or just yourself; and be able to both totally chill comfortably around good people and their pups, as well as likely end up meeting and chatting with some really good people as you enjoy a brew you probably wouldn’t expect to find on tap in Bothell?!!!!! 🐕❤️❤️✨✨✨👍

Small space, upstairs seating for 6-8, outdoor tented seating for maybe 50. I was a little underwhelmed at first, they have maybe 8 taps, but the reason this should be a destination for any craft beer lover is the gold in their refrigerators full of cans. They like 4 fridges but a pretty good variety and some amazing beers in them.
