What a gorgeous little beach. I loved that the waves weren't aggressive, so my son and I could actually play in the water. The creek that runs into the ocean was warm, so we had fun rock hunting in there. I'm definitely glad we checked this place out!

Unassuming trailhead reveals stunning beach with a creek that terminates in the ocean. No beach fires. Surfing is allowed, but no lifeguards. Loads of beach combing, and nooks to explore. The tidal flat beach means even the "dry" areas are almost always wet, so this isn't a sunbathing beach. Trailhead parking is limited, and the overflow doesn't hold much. The walk in is short, but rocky. Stay off the West side of the creek, it's private property.

Amazing views! Be sure to check out Tongue Point for additional tidepooling. We also saw whales near the second island

One of the most beautiful places we have ever camped here in the PNW. This is my families 2nd favorite campground in the state of Washington. So many hikes straight from the campground which we enjoy. There are several sites with good views, we stayed in spot #53 and loved it. When the tide is low you can go explore the tide pools and find so many cool creatures, always watch for sneaker waves. The views all around camp are stunning, they have an RV dump and RV potable water fill station during the off seasons. Generators are allowed till 10pm if you have a small RV (22ft) and choose to go back into the campground/tent loop with no power instead of the concrete parking lot for the rvs up front that do have power. There is a playground and basketball court for families to enjoy. Clean restrooms and showers as well. Highly recommend a camping trip at this location!

Yes sir! Also, just FYI my cellphone thought I was in Canada while there 🙂
The small staircase to the rocks does have a sturdy handrail but after the stairs is pretty rough. An easier way is to go on the road to the left toward crescent beach. Park by the restroom and use the path to the beach and tide pools.
YES! You can park in the small parking lot just before you cross over the actual Salt Creek, and before entering Crescent Beach. From that parking lot, you can walk down to the beach area of Salt Creek and walk over to the tide pools at LOW TIDE ONLY. This is also where all the surfers park! 😊
Yes, when I was there last week we had a fire and many of the other people did also. One of the A frames had a HUGE fire!!! Thankfully it was kept in control but wow they had it going!
Yes
I believe checkout for all campers was 11 a.m. when I stayed here last month. Couldn't find any confirmation on the website though (which is presumably why you're asking)
For now the camping section and the park area beside it are closed. Once you get to the gate go left and you will find the entrance to the beach area.
Noon people will be leaving, better chances fo you.
Half of the camp spots are first come, first serve. You might get lucky .. but it will be hard on memorial day weekend.
