I came to Key Recovery with my 5 year old on October 16th 2020. This program saved my life. I was using meth heavily for 15 years prior. I have been here for 9 months. I completed both phases of the program April 30th and now I am the family service live-in. I've learned so much about myself. Confronting my behaviors and setting healthy boundaries with myself and with others. I now have integrity when before I had none. I gained a good work ethic through the job training program. I have also regained a relationship with my family that I had lost due to my addiction. If you want recovery and live a healthy life the first step is here

I have mixed feelings with this place. I have state insurance so this place was free so you can’t ask for much if it’s free. I have only been through their detox phase, 5 times.. and only made it through the full 5 days once. The medication they give you to help get through the withdrawals barely helps. They give you what you could buy at your local drug store... I didn’t sleep the entire 5 days nor did I eat. The food is terrible and already having a very poor appetite there was no way I was eating that trash. I was throwing up the entire time I was there and the meds didn’t help at all. I couldn’t keep anything down including water. In my opinion after 5 days of not eating or drinking and maybe an hour or two of sleep I should have been admitted to a hospital but they acted like This was normal. When I had been awake for over 72 hours they refused to give me sleep aids saying that I had missed the time cut off. It was either to late or early In the day to give me sleep aids, so I just didn’t sleep. This place isn’t the best, but it’s free. Just my two cents.

Clean place, decent food, and Ben the counselor is the man. He really wants to help and is passionate about it. Nursing staff and the cleaners are super nice. Not an easy job but they are great at taking the worst of you and making you feel better. All of them just want you to succeed. If (and I hope no one ever has to go through it) you need detox this is the place. Never once was pressured to go to their long term program just straight forward - you need inpatient where should we go?

I finally got my addiction under control because of this place. Took me a second time through their detox program, but that second time was my last time! People need to realize that this is a state run facility and they’re doing the best they can to give us a chance at the quality of life we deserve. They aren’t without shortcomings but it’s a place to go and get taken care of while you detox and kick the Physical addiction. Thank you to the staff and mainly the counselor that was always supportive and never looked down her nose at me! It’s a hard and rough road, but worth it in the long run!

Yes - there is a possibility based on availability. Please contact our Intake Coordinator, Kari, for details.
General rule is clients may have visitors after their 45 day blackout. There may be some exceptions due to child visits, emergency situations, etc. Custody issues are individualized on a case by case basis. Please call the intake coordinator for any additional questions.
I currently work and live here and yes you can.
Medications are given that will alleviate the withdrawal symptoms. A variety of medications are used based on patient's symptoms. At this time medications do not include Suboxone or Methadone, however, a patient can be referred to those services after completing detox. To answer additional questions or talk to a medical professional in our detox facility please call 206.245.1086. Feel free to leave a message for a return phone call.
Average stay is 5 days depending on symptoms. If symptoms persist we can request for an authorization to extend services.
I personally cant answer because my son was the one who went through treatment. I can say he never would have completed it if rhe withdrawal managemenr wasnt top notch
Detox lasts from 3-7 days. It's usually recommended you go to some sort of treatment after detox, be it here or somewhere else. The detox staff helps with placement.
