Had a chance to stay here and enjoy a room with views out to the marshland and I was very impressed. I definitely recommend a room with a view and balcony if you stay here. The area is quiet, the property is well maintained and updated. Breakfast was decent with a fairly good selection of options. The hotel is right beside the Ropewalk restaurant which has a cool beachy vibe with great food. The doors out to the balconies are difficult to open and lock, I think they could have chosen a different design, but otherwise great spot on stay in Chincoteague. It’s also a very walkable area from the hotel to the shops and historic downtown.

We love staying here. Rooms are always clean. Staff is always very friendly and accommodating. Great location. You want a room with water view.

I did have one issue, being that I did not get the room I had booked and ended up with several kids in a smaller room. What's the purpose of a reservation if they won't honor it? Otherwise the room was clean, and the staff was helpful and overall we had a great time.

Overall this hotel is a good place to stay. Cons: The walls are very thin. So if your neighbor is having a conversation or watching TV, you will hear it. Turn in the TV, and it should cancel out the noise. Also, our bathroom door was installed backwards, so it was annoying to get into and out of the bathroom. Also, the pool is small, but you're probably here to visit the beach, so it doesn't matter that much. The black out curtains are also a little finicky, but they work well. Overall, minor negatives. Pros: The layout of the room is nice. The living and office area is very spacious, and a lot of the seating and tables in the room can me moved around. The bed is pretty comfortable. The water pressure and temps are good. The breakfast bar has a lot of good breakfast staples. Also, the staff are really great. Summary: This is a good place to stay, and it's right next to The Ropewalk, and walking distance to a lot of shops downtown. Definitely recommend staying here.
