We booked a last second bday surprise getaway weekend for our soon to be 9 year old who of course will not go anywhere without his new 4 month old Pomsky - Iggy. We stayed in the Beach Suite room which was perfect for us. Bryan and the staff gave great activities & restaurant recommendations. We felt if we needed anything, all we had to do was ask. So thrilled with our stay, we booked another trip next month on the spot! Can't wait! Mark/Cathy C.

Room was comfortable and very dog-friendly. The only things that work against a 5-star rating were: no availability of the pool or hot tub, and no available dog waste disposal stations. Other than those, we loved it! We'll definitely stay again!

Impromptu trip to Rehoboth with 2 kids and a dog in tow landed us at the Canalside Inn, recommended by Ocean Glass nearby (which is not dog friendly as we had anticipated). I called from 45 minutes away and they had one space available for us: the Beach Suite. The person on the phone immediately said they know what it's like to plan something at the last minute and worked hard to accommodate our wishes for a last-minute beach visit. They were very up front about everything we needed to know: the space is a basement apartment and has no windows. They described a large suite offering a seating area with a king size Murphy bed, a separate bedroom with a king size bed, a mini kitchen and a bathroom. No windows sounded weird so I asked if we could see it first and they were happy to accommodate the request. We saw the space and decided to stay. Docked one star because it's a basement apartment, the fan in the bedroom didn't work (unless we needed to do something aside from flipping the switch), the small towel rack in the bathtub had mold, the price is pretty high ($700+ for 2 nights) and no breakfast. All that said, the location is superb, nestled in a quiet neighborhood by the canal within walking distance to the beach and lots of shops and restaurants. To the owners: it was your staffer's exceptional customer service that tipped the scales in favor of us staying. Lovely place!

We looked for a dog friendly hotel. The Canal Side Inn is very clean , extremely comfortable beds. Towels and linens top quality. The owners Bryan and Kristen are both very friendly outgoing making sure our stay met our needs. The Inn is off the beaten path very quiet and serene. We will probably go back.
