Stayed for three nights. The place has gotten a face-lift so it looks beautiful, but in terms of function it's just sad. The walls were thin, the room was too dark, and the shower kept going from burning hot to freezing cold. There was an unexplained wet spot on our floor and when we asked for someone to come up and take a look (we placed a towel down and it was sopping wet the next morning), no one came. The AC would work throughout the night, but suddenly the room would get hot in the morning. The soap would not come off of your hands and the body wash did not lather. It rained during our stay and one of the windows in the hotel was not properly installed, so water was leaking through. The breakfast is small, never changes up its selection and there's no fruit at all! The coffee was good, and the staff were all really nice, but I can't give this place any higher of a rating. It was bearable, but not a very positive experience.

I'm giving the Breakers Hotel a 5-star rating because it's an excellent 2-star hotel (i.e. the property has no frills and only offers basic accommodations but it's quite comfortable). First, the location is fantastic. You're within walking distance of everything. Second, the staff who I interacted with were incredibly friendly. Third, they're dog-friendly. The room I stayed in wasn't overly large but I'm not in Rehoboth to stay in my room. I'm there because I like to get outside and go for walks, take my dogs to the beach or go for coffee. (I think I stayed in the same room that Angie gave a terrible review for. However, unlike Angie, my experience was perfectly fine.)

Have stayed at multiple hotels in Rehoboth. This one is our favorite now. 5 floors, 5th has a indoor pool. Breakfast everyday on the 4th floor. Room was very clean, staff was nice and accommodating. Was nice to be able to walk to the beach and boardwalk 1 block away. Room had a balcony.

This place is awful. Paper thin walls, rude staff. Even the Starbucks coffee that they have that they make a big deal of was terrible. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere. We booked this hotel for a weekend couples trip. Terrible experience. We were given a room at the end of a long dirty walkway, underneath a stairwell. There was trash all over the entrance way to our room. There was a construction dumpster in front of our room and construction trash being thrown from the floor above us into the dumpster. There was trash all over the parking lot in front of our room too. We walked in the room and the room was extremely noisy due to the extremely thin walls. We could hear people going up and down the stairs and the noise from the construction workers. ( not blaming the construction workers, they were just doing their job) My husband walked to the front office and explained the noise and dirt issues and asked for a different room, even offering to take a smaller room. The front desk woman was extremely rude. First she said the construction workers were not "that noisy". Then she said they were all booked up and had no other rooms available. Then she said that since we had gone into the room that we had contaminated the room so we could not switch rooms. Then the manager came out and said if he did not like the room then she would refund the money and "you can just go home then." Once he told me how rude she was and what she had said, I called around and found us a room elsewhere. When we went to the front desk to tell them we were leaving, they did not want to refund us. After they had just told my husband they would. Absolute clowns. Finally they refunded us. Silver lining is we ended up at a nicer hotel in a 2 room suite, 2 blocks closer to the oceanfront.

They do allow dogs and they have special rooms for guests with dogs. I don't know if they allow a dog that big though.
