I have had several letters opened and the contents empty (a birthday card and a check). I have a lock box so it can't be happening at my mailbox. This theft has to be within the Gig Harbor Post Office. It's date stamped from the locations origin but is opened before it makes it to my lock box. I'm getting tired of worrying about getting my mail in its entirety.

Does this post office have finger printing services? Have called a dozen times to verify but have they have never picked up the phone.

This is the worst Post Office I've ever dealt with. - I constantly have packages marked as delivered but they never arrived. I work from home, so I'm able to check as soon as a package arrives, so I know they aren't being stolen. -I had an empty mailbox. A new carrier decided to mark it as full because they couldn't put a large package in there instead of walking 5 steps to leave the packages where every other carrier has left them. Another carrier has left packages in the open sidewalk to be rained on rather than going the extra few steps to put them in a covered area -I had my mail put on hold. When I arrived to pick it up, they told me they couldn't find it and it must have been returned to sender...even though the hold time hadn't expired -Multiple times I've received a "this mailbox is vacant" notice...even though it is emptied regularly and the address has never been vacant Staff at the post office openly admit they don't respond to email or phone, so the only way to speak with them is to go in person. When I take off work to go in person because of their limited hours, they can't answer any questions and say a I need to speak to a supervisor. But then a supervisor isn't available. I've honestly never run into this much consistent incompetence in my life

I have never had worst postal service. Always loses things and never replaced a single item. Calling and trying to report it took forever and they never were able to find my items. I had to cancel my address forwarding and call many places because this postal office does not forward any packages. Lost hundreds of dollars with of items with no compensation. If going inside to talk to anyone expect to spend at keast an hour . Terrible.

Apparently they just don't feel like delivering small packages. I had one returned supposedly due to incomplete address, although my address was fully on the package. They just pick and choose what they want to deliver I guess. I look forward to trying to get a hold of them about this.

Apparently you don't. I have a new build house and they can't seem to figure out where it is and keep returning mail. It is getting beyond frustrating
LLVs do not handle the snow and slush well at all. They have been getting stuck on roads that are flat but unplowed. I would suggest you wait for more of the snow to melt or go to the office to pick up your mail.
Right now the rain is turning the snow to a thick layer of slush. The LLVs don't handle well in it at all. Since residential roads don't get plowed few addresses are able to be reached in this weather. The best bet is to be patient and wait for the slush to melt or head down to the post office and pick up your mail.
Hasn't been delivered since Friday and carriers were pulled off the streets after the snowfall accumulated so fast. It'll be a lot of judgement calls today on what to take and how to proceed and things will be so backed up and the weather still isn't great.
